Oh Chill how can you be so Chill as to not complain about the chilly game which results from Slag Pit close positions

Hmm it's a shame Shakuras was removed. I thought it was one of the top 3 maps in the map pool. Not really convinced with 2 of the new maps though.

Don't forget intercontinental friendship and low latency.

I don't understand why Blizzard won't use the GSL map pool. People obviously like those maps, and they have had a bunch of good games on them already.

Can someone give a proper explanation why delta quadrant is still in the pool?

Haha. We should stop with that list. It's going to get really long really fast.

Complainers are such a vocal minority they remind me of that little kid at the front of my kindergarten class who whined and whined until she got what she wanted and we got our quiet.
Just because a map doesn't favor your race/style of play/aesthetic feng shui doesn't mean that it isn't a good map. I'm glad to have new maps and I'm sure we'll figure out a system for practicing on the GSL maps and the regular ladder stuff.

Fresh maps!
Any info about when will these maps hit the EU servers?

I'm happy to play on new maps for a little bit, even if it was the ideal choice Everyone complains for good reason. I just played one on of these in a ladder game, the gulch one that looks like blistering, except guess what? Blizzard must have thought blistering sands was such a great map, that instead of making one destructable rock entrance, they decided to give you two destructable rock entrances to your ramp, along with a ramp x4 the size of a normal ramp up. Obviously it's too early to say how good or bad the maps are, but I'm going to venture a guess so far, that they all are terrible. Why can't blizzard suck it up and put GSL maps on there? Oh well, looking forward to playing on these new maps for a week or so, and then yeah...none of these maps are going to be in tournaments, that's pretty much guaranteed from them. I also don't understand why blizzard feels it necessary to try to be "cute" by adding in destructable rocks everywhere instead of making a solid map. SC1 maps didn't always need these gimmicks to be good maps, but they keep on adding destructable rocks to make SC2 be this gimmick/aggro/all-in type of game play... Pretty much exactly what I think Avilo. If you look at any of the old school BW maps, most of that stuff like invisible eggs etc, didnt come along until the game was mostly "found out" and moreover, was done to 3rd bases, not natural expos. On some maps they even let u mineral path the eggs so u could take a safe first base. I don't know what is up with these choices of being all inned before you get up a natural. Just makes for very repetitive and cheesy games :/

From the picture i think Typhon Peaks is the replacement for Shakuras. The maplayout / expansions are very similar layed out. Anyone else feels that way?

anybody who thinks blizzard hates bunkers has no idea what they are talking about lol. Salvage makes me lol irl

getting a third on slag pits is basically impossible
sigh

It's not about maps not favoring my race. It's simply the fact that all of those map DO favor one race over another.

Jungle Basin out, Slag Pits in. lol!
Still happy to see these new maps though. It's an improvement.
