My largest issue with the three new maps (excluding LT remake) is the extremely difficult to hold natural expansions. Combining many entrances and a long distance between the main ramp and natural expansion with the short rush distances present in close positions I do not see how these maps benefit this matchup in anyway. This feels like roach/ling or early gate pushes will dominate this matchup on all three maps. The same reason I did not play on blistering sands. Also, what the fuck shakuras plateau?!?!

Steppes is gone and replaced with a 2/3 of the time version instead of 100%. On a side note I am fairly certain that they didn't incorporate the GSL maps because they don't have very many destructible rocks.

This is definitely a better map pool than the previous one, even without shakuras. The destructable rocks in the shakuras mains were kinda dumb anyway, even if it was otherwise a very good map. Of course a GSL map pool would be much better than this, but I'm pretty impressed with Blizz.

After all if you spawn close positions on Metal you're pretty much dead too, yet people have called that the most balanced Blizzard map. Though I guess you can vote it and Metal down.
