Hello everyone!

This is the iCCup Monthly Map Pool. It will consist of the maps designed and created for the sole purpose of competitive tournament 1v1 play. Any and all tournaments are welcome and encouraged to use these maps!

The map pool will consist of seven maps. This number has so far proven to be the most effective.

NA Server - PLEASE SUPPORT iCCup MAPS HERE! IT MIGHT HELP!

EU Server - PLEASE SUPPORT iCCup MAPS HERE! IT MIGHT HELP!

Some maps will be rotated out of the map pool per month, to promote growth and to prevent stagnation of the current map pool, a hallmark of what helped Brood War grow to the gigantic E-Sport is was in it's hay day. However if a major bug or serious imbalance to a race the map may be either suspended from the map pool temporary until the problem is fixed, or be rotated out completely if the problem is considered un-fixable. If this happens the empty slot will normally not be filled until the following month to allow players proper time to be prepared for the new map.

Please stay tuned to this thread as map rotation dates, replacing map, map suspensions, map removals, and all matter will be updated daily in this thread.

Note: The iCCup mapmaking team recently refined it's global map pool (all maps made by the iCCup mapmaking team). Many maps were removed or suspended, so be sure to check out the changes!

We always encourage feedback on the maps and will seek to make the strongest and most solid map pool to date.

To find iCCup maps: Create a custom game within the SCII client, find the search box above where it says "author" and search "iCCup". That's it !

I love how Valhalla looks, but Match Point will always be in my heart!
These maps look so much better than the ladder one on SC2 (though, I do love some of the maps on SC2).

Great, I was just thinking some hours ago what maps I'd like to see in the new Map Pool and Braxis Orbital definetely was my favorite Do you use the old version or is that just the wrong picture?

btw, anything new about the big announcment that iCCup.Diamond was talking about? And no success persuading GOMTV to try your maps?

And most importantly: Am I blind or is nobody mentioning anywhere that ESL had a news yesterday saying they will use iCCup Pawn Re and iCCup Testbug in February's Go4SC2 Cups? I mean, it's the most important EU Cup series. Shouldn't you brag about that?^^

I hope that Braxis Orbital, Europe and Neo Enigma are the maps that get picked up next by tournaments (ESL for there 9 maps March pool).
At this point I don't like the 1:1 copy of Match Point that much any more... and I have never been a fan of Valhalla, but that might just be because of the boring Bel'Shir tileset^^

We suggested a series of maps to them and told them to pick the ones that would suit the goals of their map pool the best. Valhalla, while a good map, simply wasn't what they were looking for. (Notice they took a 2 and 3 player map, but no 4 player maps for example)

We can only suggest maps to tournaments, which is the point of the monthly map pool. We can by no means force them to use these maps nor do we have any intention to

I've enjoyed watching the new maps featured on the ESL cups. We definitely need some members of the GomTV crew to check out iCCup maps as it appears they kept to themselves and their own mapmaking crew, no reason not to spread the love really.

Can someone explain why icccup maps have different mineral patch amounts than regular maps?

Doesn't this throw off standard builds?

Standard Blizzard:

Main: 8minerals
Natural: 8minerals

If I am correct, Match Point is the only with odd mineral counts.

Main: 9minerals
Natural: 7minerals

This is to balance 1base with expanding. Its not a huge deal, but you can saturate one base a little better with 1 added mineral. Expanding would be almost an absolutely necessary thing to do since it is very closed off and close to the main, if there were not a mineral changes.

Thanks! We would like to

I love the iccup maps, I just wish they were in the blizzard ladder rotation so I could play them more. Then after seeing that MavercK is experimenting with inserting ladder stats into his custom game (sc2:bw) I thought it would be super awesome if iccup went along with that too. If they figured out a good system like MavercK is working on so that the monthly iccup map pool would keep your 1:1 win/loss stats. Maybe that would get more people playing on these maps in the monthly map pool, knowing that their record is going to be kept

I love some iccup map but i hate how you guys will randomly throw out expansions with no gas of a lack of minerals. I mean the lack of minerals make for a need for more bases and adds to the game but the lack of gas just fucks with the game and makes it something people will only think about taking if the map is mined out.

I enjoy how the awkward expansions mean you have to adjust tactics as opposed ot having several cookie cutters. Really tests your build adaptability.

Nice maps as always :D
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

i just played 2 games against my terran friend on the iCCup maps...just the design of the map, not simply because it was larger, was just so much fun. Like holy shit, you play on these maps and you realize blizzard just sucks big donkey dick at making maps.

i did play on the BW ports, but my point still stands.

Not as far as I know. There's nothing in the terms of usage that state anything about BW ports nor does kespa have control over that sort of thing in SC2.

I would like to see ICCUP work with Blizzard in partnership in a way that every few months or so, there will be new maps added to the current ladder.

Which is why if we really want to see iCCup maps in the map pool, those of us that conduct tournaments need to use the maps so they can get face time. If you listened to SotG a short while ago, the MLG rep they spoke with said taht there was a possibility of using user created maps, though NO guarantee. Stuff like that gets noticed. But they only notice it if we use them. And so on.

can we just show up at blizz hedquarters? The iCCup maps are simply infinitly better than any one of the current ladder maps. I would probally do an epic fist pump if I ever hear that iccup/gsl maps are being put into the ladder pool.

I dunno, I played on it vs a Toss, and the super narrow choke leading into the nat means he can jsut 4 gate and you cannot defend with lings at all. I had a horrible time on it as Z, the narrow chokes are just really bad.
