I totally agree with Teivospylol that its really the fans of Day[9] that I hate. I dont like his daily's (but who cares I can just not watch them), but his casting is ok and I love SOTG and its not like I actually have any hate for the guy i simply dont like his show.
I just hate how every time I read a thread like this one that mentions HD or Husky or Psy someone just HAS to feel the need bring up Day9 and how he is better and how they want him to father their children and then seemingly everyone on TL will post and agree.
Just look at "BusyBeaverHP" posts. Guy prolly prays at night to Day9 then proceeds to have dreams of him casting a game and then wakes up with a slimy splotch on his boxer briefs from the sheer gravity of Day's analysis.

His casting of the game is like a blind man trying to describe sunlight. Instead of Day9's lucid analysis, I see a childish man who tries to cover up his lack of SC2 understanding with attempts at humor that falls flat with his strident, obnoxious voice, and most of all, he isn't funny! H to the usky Husky! is simply the dumbest possible way to introduce himself in every cast. What's with his recent upload with the 6 months old IdrA game in the beta period anyway? + Show Spoiler + So basically Husky's style doesn't appeal to you.. It is a similar style to TotalBiscuit - both of which try and make their casts more entertaining than analytical.. but i suppose that is below you? If you can't understand how this appeals to a wider audience than the nerds who can sit down for an hour and watch day9 then you are increcibly naive and ignorant.. i love how you have nothing to say about the OP either, just a straight out flame of Husky.. You don't find him funny and you think he is a shit caster.. but most of all - noone gives a fuck because he provides a great deal of material to an audience that would otherwise not be interested..

I don't like it, Banelings was 5 times better. It's also going to generate some awkward moments when a non-starcraft player walks into the room with someone watching this.

I was wondering how this thread got bumped.
HungryMan, people like you aren't helping either. I cannot believe we cannot go 3 posts without going around the same shit. Give it a rest. If you have constructive criticism to add, great. If you have nothing else to add then leave it be. This thread has nothing to do with casting so leave that crap out of it.

Even i'm jealous about it. When I listen to this song I don't understand why it has given someone 1.8 million views and a bunch more money/subscribers.

Day9 is overrated imo. He always has that up and down fake voice and try to over analyze when shoutcasting. There's a difference between analyzing and addressing a game.
Artosis and Chill have always been the best SC commentators since Broodwar. They sound like sincere and serious nerds with a quite monotonous yet soothing voice.
Day9 fans are like underground music fans, they think their idol is the best only because they're "not famous" as other mainstreamers like HD and husky.

and as far as the song is concerned holy shit turn down the douchy. I do love community initiatives as much as the next man but seriously. The meter is broke.

The reason day is idolized is because he's oldschool. It's simple case of elitism, no different then people who claim that Dostoevsky is the only real writer and modern prose is shit.

Day9 fans are like underground music fans, they think their idol is the best only because they're "not famous" as other mainstreamers like HD and husky. There are a lot of things wrong with your post but I'll simply address the last one. Day9 is not famous you say. Day9.. not famous. What the fuck? Do you know anyone who watches SC2 VODs who hasn't heard of Day9? I see Day9s face on several other forums over and over, moreso than Husky or HD which really speaks for itself. You might not like him, but don't be ridiculous.
I suppose Starcraft 2 is an underground, unknown game? I mean, it's not "famous" compared to famous games like Call of Duty.. Uh, what? That's ridiculous, no? Day9 is probably the most popular caster in a lot of communities, while HD and Husky has a larger Youtube following. Saying any of the three is anything but famous within SC2 is ludicrous.

Rofl. Comparing Day[9] with HD and Husky is like comparing Nas with Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy.
If you watch a game that Day[9] casts (Attention: not commentates. Like Wednesday Night Fight, not like EG Masters), you'll easily understand that your statement on Day[9] is dead wrong.
You're right about Artosis and Chill, they are really good, actually better than Day[9]. But, Day[9] can't be compared to Artosis&Chill at what Day[9] really does best, which is commentary-game analysis (no disrespect to both). djWHEAT is really good as a caster as well.
Husky's SC2 casts are as good as Soulja Boy's Hip Hop songs. Both 6 feet deep in the ground.

I like Artosis and Chill the most as SC commentators too. They don't have the fake enthusiasm that I see on some casters, their game knowledge is solid and they can be very funny at times. Husky and Day9 are fine too as they bring a lot of new gamers into SC2 making eSport grow. I prefer Day9 over Husky though for obvious reasons.

I think Day9 is very important for anyone who is still mostly learning Starcraft and its dynamics. Of course you can always say that theres always things to learn, but when I watch a daily these days, I usually know 95% of the stuff beforehand. Every now and then theres a nugget of truth I hadnt considered, but yeah, to more advanced players it can get a bit boring. His casting is great, although he sometimes seems to ramble a bit.
My favorite caster/analyst/(therapist?) has to be Artosis though. He knowledge of the game is just so crisp, he always knows the latest builds and strategies. And I'm not only talking GSL here, his youtube commentaries for random games are always a blast to watch. Mad props to him.
With Tasteless bringing in the jokes and good atmosphere, I really cant think of a better casting duo for GSL.

Wait isn't this thread about husky's music video? What's this crap about Day9 being overrated and not as famous as HD or Husky? You can't compare day9 to HD, PsY or Husy his casting is far better and his dailes are far fun to watch. I can go on why I think the way I do, but this thread isn't about that so just shut up and talk about the topic.

I think Husky would actually earn our respect if he spent the time to actually be good at a game instead of just yelling random shit. I kinda have the same problem with Tasteless, but it's not nearly as bad.
EDIT:
Let me expand on that.
What you 'shoutcasters' don't seem to realize is how disposable you are. Anyone with minimal knowledge of the game can start casting games for the community. You don't realize that what makes the scene interesting are the players; the players who actually put hours of effort and sweat to master a game as complex and difficult as starcraft. All YOU had to do was get a microphone.
Let's look at the higher quality casters for a minute. Day9, Artosis, DJWheat, Incontrol, Gretorp, Chill, Gisado, Psy, Tasteless. What they have in common is either extensive knowledge and skill with the game, or a lot of experience spanning the brood-war era/esports in general. Husky? Hd? Biscuit? Vincere? Not to harp on all of you, but unless you step it up you're going to fall to the wayside quicker than you can yell 'I don't know what's going on, this game is crazy.'

I found the video to be extremely entertaining, but the song fell a little flat. The line about supply depot homes always gets me. I have watched the video like 5 times now, so that is a good sign. You can;t go wrong with having 3 video game nerds with white shirts on the beach. That is funny.
I wanna see husky and his team come out with another #1 jam with big beats and hot synth lines. Banelings was great... but much of its success was due to the fact that it was a parody of the #1 you tube video of all time. You can make fun of me all you want... but Justin Beiber's Baby Baby, instrumentally, was VERY VERY catchy and well written. I can take or leave the lyrics though. Doing any song with those instrumentals will be appealing.
