Oh and when internet arguments are started
Remember, even if you win you're still retarded
Because nothing is ever learned
And no opinion ever turned.

And then people keep posting just to whine
They keep comparing HD and Husky with Day[9]
Despite their completely different styles
And back in the thread, meanwhile

These are the best!! Husky needs to produce this with Kurt ASAP!!

Baneling was more catchy. I do like the originally of this one though. Though I don't get why this isn't posted on Kurt's channel. Kurt clearly did the work

Slightly off topic here. How many people watches football, the game? How many people watches ESPN's play-by-play analysis of the said game? I guarantee you the first number is much larger than the second number.

Obviously this is TL, so we prefer the play-by-play. But you can't put a number on what's good for the community. What's better for the growth of the football community? A game broadcasted on the biggest channel on TV, or the step analysis afterwards? Arguably, both are equally important.

Before I go more off topic here, I will just say this: Day[9] got me into diamond, Husky got me into SC2.

Haha I've just realised that this was a parody on how SCVs "love" each other. The video makes soo much sense now. "we'll care for one another"-its how they can repair each other! Funny how the video insinuates that SCVs are all homosexual. LOL. Genius.

I know I didnt like it that much at first, but listen to the lyrics without the video first. They are absolutely mint

What is up with everyone who posts on this site always being such Day9 fans? Ive watched a million HD and Husky videos and i will continue to watch them, and i've watch a few dailies and I just dont get it. Day9 is constantly trying to tell jokes and then proceeding to fail miserably or he turns the camera on himself and makes some dumb face and even dumber sound effect. I simply do not understand how anyone would want to sit though the agony of a Day9 daily when you could watch an actual game uninterrupted with some fun commentating instead.

i know this is a little unnecessary, but i just cant stand reading through this thread and seeing ppl who are literally choking down Day9's manparts while posting like he was sent down from the heavens to take them to the promised diamond land.

The reason Husky has more than 3 times the subs is because any reasonable person who starts to watch Day9 will think that he is someone trying really really hard to be funny and clever but is just awful at it. If you like day9 and he helps you a bit, whatever, thats great, but people saying that "Husky shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as Day[9]" or "Husky is an introduction to SC, but Day9 is the real deal" just know that there are plenty of people crushing you on ladder that think the opposite.

Sorry, but anyone higher than bronze league won't get any useful knowledge on how to play the game out of a husky cast. Similarly, most people that are terrible at the game because they aren't going to, for whatever reason, put in the effort to get better won't get hardly anything out of a day9 daily. Since terrible/casual players make up the vast majority pretty much anywhere except TL, we tend to enjoy the analysis of day9 more than the hyping of husky, while husky gets more subs on youtube where the casual players hang out.

If you think Day is all jokes and sound effects, perhaps you should pay more attention to his actual analysis.

I don't hate HD or Husky, but they are just not my taste (half-baked or wrong analysis, relying more on color commentary in my opinion). Day breaks down the game in much more detail, focusing on more subtle decision making that can help refine someones game, instead of giving generic do this to win (which is never actually all it takes) advice.

It's apples and oranges though, Day is in depth analysis, Husky is shoutcasting.

I'd be curious for you to actually source these "plenty of people crushing me on ladder" that think Husky provides better SC2 analysis than Day, considering lots of pro's (huk, idra, gretorp, etc) recommend, support Day as an analyst and many come on his show.

Edit:
After seeing your post in the strategy forum...

"hey a good strategy that wont require a ton of micro vs zerg is just getting like 3-4 thors as quickly as possible and pushing out. Bring a few scvs in your attack to repair and maybe some marines and mauraders as backup and you should win alot."

I can see how you're utilizing that Husky analysis to crush your ladder opponents with these great strategies

lol are you guys like the noble elites of starcraft??

And i guarantee that at one point Day[9] has said something similar to "subtle decision making that can help refine someones game" and you took your beloved Day9's words to heart and rehashed them here.

And ya i know that Huk and idrA (my 2 fav players) and other pros are Day9 fans (prolly cause they are fellow players and friends) but I'm sure they cringe when they are on with Day and he just embarrasses himself.

And of course there are Day9 fans who would stomp me, but i'm sure out of the 375k!!!! subs husky has that maybe just one of them could edge you guys out in a match.

Okay, whatever, you're not even making points any more.

I'm sure you know HuK and IdrA so well that you know what makes them cringe (probably why HuK refused to be a part of Day's stream... oh wait)

If you're all mystified that someone used a proper sentence like "subtle decision making can help refine someones game", which is both generic and obvious that you try to say they had to "steal" that from someone, then I don't see any point in conversing with you.

Welcome to Team Liquid, you're off to a great start in your first few posts.

Day9 dailies are for analysis of games, not for watching the games ala HD or Husky. That said Day9 is a great commentator as well and he does a great job (IMO him and HD are my fav commentators)

I do agree with you that people do choke his manparts down, but thats why you should hate the Day9 fanboys* and not Day9 himself. You need to understand though the fanboys just copy him because they're fans of day9, not fans of starcraft :S.

*Insult Day9 while laddering, you have no idea how many idiots from TL will get upset with you and try to change your mind while you macro

I'm sorry but Husky is just a terrible mainstream caster. His voice is barely tolerable. His casting of the game is like a blind man trying to describe sunlight. Instead of Day9's lucid analysis, I see a childish man who tries to cover up his lack of SC2 understanding with attempts at humor that falls flat with his strident, obnoxious voice, and most of all, he isn't funny!

H to the usky Husky! is simply the dumbest possible way to introduce himself in every cast.

What's with his recent upload with the 6 months old IdrA game in the beta period anyway?

+ Show Spoiler +

http://www.youtube.com/user/HuskyStarcraft#p/u/8/dI8zcSjDBAM

What's with the fake laugh? He can't find any new games to cast? Oh I get it, he doesn't like IdrA and is passive-aggressively trying to undermine IdrA's popularity. This is really unprofessional as a caster and just plain douchey.

Woah, I was wondering why people were still posting so much in this thread... I guess it turned into a Husky vs. Day9 flame war o.O

You guys should chill...
Husky (And HD for that matter) are casting games purely for others entertainment (with some analysis, but honestly they're not top level players, so they can't give too much insight). Now, not everyone finds the same things enjoyable/entertaining, do they? That's why there is so much variety in entertainment, there are people somewhere who enjoy whatever it is they're watching/listening to (different music genres, theater, sports, movies, TV shows, etc).

Comparing Day9 Dailies to a Husky/HD cast is kind of silly. Comparing Day9 casting games to a Husky/HD cast makes more sense, and if you don't like one/two/any of them, then don't watch their games... There are plenty of other casters for Starcraft 2. And if you don't like anyone, then try casting some games yourself and see if there's anything unique about your style compared to theirs... Who knows, maybe you'll enjoy it.
