Oh do me a favour and lose the troll act, some of us have been doing it way longer than you and we're much better at it.
Do you know the guy? No. When was the last time you spoke to him? Are you employed by the same company? Are you aware of what he does on a daily basis? Do you know how much he earns? Do you know how much money he plows into making fun content for no personal gain?
None of the above, of course.
So sit the fuck down and stick to what you're good at.
Yeah, so I'm defending my friend. Deal with it.. I won't have you slandering his good name in public without recourse.
edit : Noted, removed.
sit the fuck down? lol shut up retard. he doesnt give a rats ass about the community beyond the fact that theyre making him rich despite the fact that he has absolutely 0 noticeable talents.
if the tlaf guy hadnt been desperate to throw money at the community, and husky hadnt gotten in between those 2, he would be a nothing right now. good for him for 'making it' but dont act like anything about the whole thing is for the good of the community.
I'm sorry you have started hating me ever since you lost the HDH1 to WhiteRa. Despite what you think, I did not rig the maps to be in his favor and I did not in any way rig anything to favor one player over the other. I understand why you raged at me in private after you lost and I am ok with you posting extremely hateful things towards me ever since that event.
It's cool if you dont like me. It's cool if the raging nerd persona is your way of standing out. It's extremely awesome that you are so dedicated to StarCraft 2 and are a representation of the foreign community in StarCraft 2.
But please, for the sake of being an honest person, stop posting in every thread about me saying I do not care about the SC2 community. It simply is not true .
Thanks!
Oh Snap! That was a good response and measured too.. Idra Fan here but I love my Husky!!

yes? a lie is mannered? u dont want ur oppenent 2 luck dont kid urself. hf is the only thing thats "Ok". and if the game wasnt good why should i call it good? should clal it frg "fuckign random game"
dude ever heard of saying thank you to be polite? its along the same vein of thought but in a video game, its really not that hard to comprehend how gg is polite
saying gg even if u get destroyed and ur raging out is good manners, so is wishing someone good luck before a game. It doesnt matter if the game is sc, sport or in any other competitive situation, its called 'sportsmanship' in sport, and we're naming it 'manners' here. im not obsessed with doing everything i can to avoid bm, i rage too, but theres no way u can argue that gg isnt good manners

Mod note: warning removed, he took away the martyring very fast.
First of all: I love you TotalBiscuit. If you had better knowledge of the game, you would most likely be the best SC2 caster in the world. That's my honest opinion.
That said, what you're forgetting here is that HUSKY is actually slandering IDRA's good name every time he gets a chance. Whenever he casts some game of IdrA, he makes fun of his "childish behaviour". He goes all in to make IdrA look stupid. Except for in the HDH1, I don't think I've ever seen Husky cast a game that IdrA won. If I see a video of Husky, commenting IdrA, I'm 100% sure IdrA will lose. And I'm always right. Since IdrA wins most of his games, there's no other logical explanation to that than Husky wanting IdrA to look bad.
What's worst, posting a single comment in a thread on TL saying "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA", or trashtalking someone for 10 minutes in a youtube video that over 300 000 people are certainly going to watch? It's not even comparable, IMO. If I were IdrA, I would be seriously pissed off about that. How do you think it feels, knowing that hundreds of thousands of people think you're a jerk, just because some guy goes out of his way to cast all the games you lose while making fun of you?
Try to actually think about that for a second, and be objective. What would you think of Husky, if you were in IdrA's shoes right now? I'll admit, Husky was the one who got me interested in SC2, but before I started watching GSL and other stuff, I thought IdrA was a complete loser and a moron. All thanks to Husky. Now, IdrA is one of my favorite players.
Cheers.
This. When I first saw husky videos on sc2 i thought 'wow idrA is a really whiny bitch!'. and then after a few months i started to realise 'holy shit if i was getting 6pooled, cannon rushed, proxy raxed, scv marine all in 5-6 games in a row. I wouldn't GG too!'
After GSL seasons I've become an idrA fan because his macro is simply amazing. Plus hes getting better and better too from his GSL season progressions and his stream!
What does huskateers think of him still? A douche-bag who gets angry over losing to something 'easy' when they never even played the game yet. Husky's still uploading vids of idrA getting cheesed or losing, its almost not a funny thing anymore. Any moron could go to husky's vids and see 'IDRA' and then its automatically assumed 'ragequit'.
Husky does help to introduce newer people into SC2 but portraying idrA as the anti-nerd who rages at every 4 minute matches is getting a little annoying :/.

Seeing as this thread is about a song, or it's supposed to be at least, I thought I would write my own song in the style of Don McLean summing up the highlights so far.
A long, long time ago I can still remember Before SC2 had come out I opened my email to see I had received a beta key And a man from Oregon on Youtube liked to shout
And things were different Because for starters He had an Asian casting partner They used to act like brothers But I think they fell out with each other
I can't imagine what was said Or how their partnership was dead It gives me aches inside my head And then I saw this Team Liquid thread
And they were posting Oh, my H-U-S-K to the Y We liked that one thing about Banelings And this is a nice try But the day I enjoy watching 3 shirtless guys Well then that will be the day that I die That will be the day that I die
TB came and called them trolls Explained Husky's motivating goals IdrA came and he just lolled. TB said “don't talk shit cause you don't know” Then a reply came from iNcontroL And it was written in a rather bad cockney drawl
And then, TB said that he loved him iNcontroL said don't paint me with your criticism Were going to the e-court of law. And then TB called him a troll
I have to say I was confused as fuck And honestly didn't think this new song sucked So I went and had another look At all the other thread replies
And they were saying Oh, my H-U-S-K to the Y We liked that one thing about Banelings And this is a nice try But the day I enjoy watching 3 shirtless guys Well then that will be the day that I die That will be the day that I die
And then IdrA responded to TB Said Husky didn't care for the community. And he called TB a retard Well you see IdrA made his stand With such venom that it got him banned It's fine though 'cause his ban was only temporary.
Oh and when internet arguments are started Remember, even if you win you're still retarded Because nothing is ever learned And no opinion ever turned.
And then people keep posting just to whine They keep comparing HD and Husky with Day[9] Despite their completely different styles And back in the thread, meanwhile

Not as good as the Banelings but still a good effort. Not sure the goatie is a good plan for Husky though! I liked his reverse baseball cap in the Banelings video! ;p
Someone Correct me if im wrong, but in defense of husky i don't think idra makes his replays public, so it seems completely logical that the Ones he casts are that of idra loosing because nobody really wants to release a replay of themselves loosing. Although he could cast tournament that feat idra winning husky however husky does not seem to cast many tournaments.
I wouldn't go as far to say that he "targets" idra however he does make fun of him a lot because of his rage
Husky doesn't watch games before he casts them, so it isn't like he goes through specifically searching for and casting games of Idra losing. And as the poster above me said, Idra would most certainly not release his replays to Husky, so Husky casts games that others send to him of them beating Idra, or he casts games that are highly rated which more often that not is Idra losing, as people often like an upset and enjoy an underdog beating him.
Also in the Silver game what is wrong with pointing out the bm? It's not like much else goes on during early game unless there is serious cheese about to occur.

Oh man Idra is so fucking awesome xD
Husky (lets be honest) has lost his way. He still gets obvious things wrong while casting and has made very little effort to improve on this. I was watching Wolf's stream the other day, and what he said about casting is completely true in that if you are trying to be an anylitical and informed caster you have to both play the game an absolute tonne, and be very good at it yourself.
I dont think anyone can disagree that in the scheme of things Husky's casts are pretty low-tier. Plus these songs he does now are pretty cringeworthy and almost exclusively for his own publicity.
All in all, Husky seems to be more and more a part of the youtube community (aka self indulgent dicks who live by views=money) and less and less a part of the starcraft community.
Probably get banned for this, but I've had it on my mind for ages...

And you think Husky tries to be an analytical caster? Well... he doesn't. He tries to be entertaining and he does one hell of a job with that. Same with TotalBiscuits casts, TB is silver league (afaik) and his casts are still awesome - partly because of his awesome voice and humour, but mostly they are entertaining because neither of those two tries to teach you anything.

TB is pure play by play commentary, and I love him for that. But Husky often tries to offer insights into a players build/what he thinks the outcome will be etc and invariably gets it horribly wrong.
I agree, he doesnt try to be Day9 or anything, but the small amount of analysis he does do in his games is pretty horrific. It certainly needs alot of work, and Husky clearly doesnt plan on working on it
The number of times I hear "Oh this doesnt look like it will be good for X"... followed by... "wow X completely came out ahead from that" is pretty significant.
TB doesnt tend to guess the outcomes too much, he just watches the fights as if either player could win which imo is better if you are not a starcraft god like artosis/day9.
It's silly how this is about whether you're on Team Husky on Team Idra. This is not a tribal war or anything.
Sure, Husky's commentating is more geared towards the casual player. But that doesn't take away that Idra is acting like a 12-year old (something he could never get away with if he was on Liquid, for instance).
