1. The old SCV mining sound. So comforting. 2. Zealots old voice and attack sounds. So freaking awesome 3. The old zerg voice. "You have not enough mineralzzzzzz" makes me want to kill myself. 4. The BW marines rifle shooting sound. Much cooler. 5. Replace Viking pilot with Wraith pilot. He was a pimp. 6. Replace new photon cannon shooting sound with old. Dunno, just liked it better. The one sound I do really like now, is when an SCV starts a building. Especially when I have the bass turned up it sounds soo awesome. | ||

In bw you could know what's happening 1 or 2 screens away only with the sound. In sc2 not so much. The DT sound is awful. The ling attack sound is just lol. | ||

How fkn' awesome did you think starcraft was when you first played it? All the units exploding into blood when they died, with awesome sound effects. You look at Starcraft 2, and its alot more polished, refined.. And the sound effects mimic that. Starcraft 2 appears to be more professionalistic, compared to the down to earth, hardcore gameplay (and sound) of the original. BW sound effects don't fit with SC2, though agreed, I do miss them  | ||

Zergling claw attack, not the licking attack. Hydralisk spitting (I remember when people first heard it in SC2, it was a disaster and there was million of threads about it) Ultralisk born sound from BW - RROOOOAAARRR! zerg announcer, obviously - but this only for now, because obviously the sound is HOTS scenario related and I want to see that. stimming marines, zealot dying... otherwise the rest is good. I think the music is top notch, too. | ||

Been using custom textures since beta and havn't been banned or warned. I have also changed my sounds multiple times and still nothing. Also have been using custom keys(Not PTR), and nothing. Thats not to say you won't get banned at some point(bilzz can do whatever they want) but i don't think it will happen since they seem to be focusing on people who actually hack and cheat. Which is good in IMO :D ^ this. All peoples, who think, that they can be banned for replacing sound (SOUND!!) files, are wrong. Yes, it will corrupt EULA, but... will Blizzard check all your files? If yes, Repair.exe will automatically redownload changed files. But there are no auto-Repair before every game start. I too have Old overmind voice, old Overlord, SC1+BW music for zerg and sc1 main menu theme instead new | ||

Which is good in IMO :D I think you're right. Blizzard always said you're not allowed to do this officialy, but I never heard someone being banned for innocent (ie non cheating) modifications. It was the same in wc3 where I used custom hotkeys (before they added them in a patch) and never had problem (and I did the same in sc2 too, good until now) | ||

Ahh, that makes sense... due to low quality of the audio I was thinking may be it was not screaming, but like some machine factory noise or somethin. Ok but then, why is there that "dun, dun, dun!" sound after the scream? (I'm not talking about the oh no I'm gonna die dun dun dun, this one has higher pitches with each "dun") Also thanks OP! But apparently changes to Chinese? But I think i may be able to get over that xD | ||
