If I could change one thing I'd replace the weird zerg lady with the old overmind.
There are NEW Overmind, and you can create it with editing YOUR voice.
Example:
In english version I have very bad accent, so if you will record your normal english voice to microphone and give me your replies, I can convert them into SC2-Overmind (from protoss campaign, where he talked about hybrids)
I remember Zelniq worked something out in the beta to accomplish this. I'm so glad it's back. Dear god, i hope Blizzard doesn't ban this because the SC1 sounds were simply better. Maybe not more realistic, but so much better for watching and playing the game. The sounds were more distinct, more crisp, and more recognizeable... all so important for an RTS game

Fully agreed, but Blizzards are fanatics of their rules. No file replacing, so, NO FILE REPLACING. And it's very sadly
Don't understand the hate for SC2 sounds, can't help but think people are just getting a little nostaligic ^^. If I changed them I reckon the novelty would wear off quickly and I'd just change them back. Maybe that's just me though, I just don't like to customise things like this unless I have a major problem with a particular aspect.
Plus, although I thought the overmind was better, I like the zerg queen because she sounds like Tali from Mass Effect when she says 'Our drones are under attack!'.

\Ok, yes, but I really want Kerrigan or more queen-ish voice, instead grandmother.

The hate the SC2 sounds was fully realized long ago by the majority of the community. It's because the SC2 sounds and voices aren't distinct enough. Like someone said earlier, zergling attack sounds like cold noodles slapping around, whereas before, it sounded like a sharp thud. Much more exciting and recognizeable. While it may not be as realistic, it's definitely clearer for an RTS like this.
SC1 sounds were truly a masterpiece. You could sit their blindfolded, listening to the sounds of a huge battle going on, and you could tell exactly which units were shooting and dying. You could hear the thunder of the siege tanks, the screaming of the mutalisks, the clashing of the zealot blades, the stimming of the marines. The sounds from before gave each unit it's own character and feel. Just compare SC2 zealot attack sounds to SC1 zealot attack sounds and you'll know what i mean. SC1 zealots were manlots compared to the pansylots from SC2.
Not to mention, the voices in SC1 were just a lot better too. I couldn't tell you the difference between how an overseer, zergling, overlord, hatchery, and infestor sound. But each of these voices were really unique in SC1. Zerglings were all crackly, defilers were kind of dog-like, overlords were going BLLAARRGHGHGHGHHG, hatcheries had a lot of watery sounds, etc. Even the protoss voices were way better before. The old high temp and dark temp voices were totally different from all the other protoss units. Now, every single protoss sounds like a carrier.

Yeah same here, but I don't mind cause I play on the Korean sever 95% of the time so I'm used to not having english text haha :D
