why would the hold spam thing affect spells, you still have to click the button each individual time to cast spells, the larvae thing is completely different....

I tried the PTR, Extreme Graphic is just an overall setting to the other graphics eg.(settings such as shaders textures etc are set to ultra). The difference between from the Ultra setting is just an indirect shadows toggled on. Didn't have the guts to use Extreme.

Click the chat channel, 0 channels. Felt lonely and I quit :S

am I the only one who thinks they are going backwards? adding a higher league?

I swear, in 6 months theyll create the "awesome" league when everyone gets moved up to "master" league. just quit it already =/

Gonna reserve judgment on the Fungal Growth change, there's been enough outcry in this thread, and it certainly doesn't need more. If there's a major problem, it won't get into the official patch, and if there's a way to deal with it, the pros will have a solution in a couple GSL's whether it be against sudden Protoss Phoenix, Terran Viking, or Zerg Muta shenanigans in the metagame.

Loving the creep spread and pylon/bunker wall-off changes, and the little hidden change with Ultralisks attack arc being moved to a more suitable area.

The Phoenix build time buff was probably needed honestly. Despite my TERRIBLE record against Toss, I can recognize the lack of Toss love recently.

Kinda iffy on the Master League idea...Maybe if it was SUPER exclusive, like Progamer level and close only. Diamond can stay the leading league for mere mortals that are really good, Master can be for literally the masters of SC2. Wouldn't mind that, else it's just making another meaningless league to rank up to.

Generally pleased with the ideas floating around though. Will follow for sure :D

You can no longer hold down a key to produce multiple units of that key. You need to hit D 10 times to make 10 drones

You can no longer block ramps with 2 pylons

Bunker build time decreased from 35 to 30.

This is only a temporary change for the patch 1.2.0 PTR.

Fungal Growth no longer affects air units.
I'm in tears. While annoying, pylon/cannon walls made for exciting and fun games. Is there any reason for fungal no longer being able to hit air (plague hits air) except for poor macro and making it even harder to catch them now?

The other things seem huge, speaking from the wall of text and actual impact to the game (not gameplay). Not finished reading through.

Pheonixes 45 seconds to 35 seconds on top of removal of fungal vs air is painful one or the other maybe would have been ok in my opinion

OH PLEASE GOD NO. I'd rather never get chat channels and have to deal with thors surrounded by scvs every game than have have to deal with 35 second phoenix, fungal growth does not affect air and having to destroy the 'e' key to build a banelings. Fuck.

ZvZ is gonna be real dumb now also.

I feel like I'm going to deal with 15 nexus into 2-stargate into 2-robo collosus every game now. I mean, why wouldn't you?

Fuck this patch. Seriously, I really hope none of this shows up for real.

A third pylon works. I think Blizzard wanted ramp blocks to hurt the Protoss significantly more since it was somewhat risk free.

Im not certain that I'd be that confident quoting numbers, but it sure seems that you can do a lot of damage without taking many hits. As long as the phoenixes have somewhere to run to id be inclined to say that ratio would have to be a bit more than 1:2. It just seems like if fungal growth had really been the issue with fighting doing something like giving phoenixes slightly longer vision so they could just get out of the way (something they do damned well). I think in a matter of time the higher levels would have developed ways of avoiding non-burrowed infestors altogether.

But I guess it still remains to be seen if this really upsets balance. Im certainly not all that impartial because I am quite found of the infestor and would hate to see it fall out of usage. I think there should still be some worry that this will really force zergs down one tech-path, which would make the matchup less interesting (certainnly for the zerg).

Phoenix change + infestor nerf is huge. Best changes by far are chat channels and repairing scv priority, thor rushes will be beatable now :D
