I think the real discussion here is why Dota players have the worst names ever

I don't know about Dota, never found it all that interesting, but that Diss is terrible. Pretty epic that he inspired someone to do that though.
THIS was your PLAN?

Maybe because he stayed in his house playing games :D at least his good in those games hehe

2 years is not that long...

I need to introduce to Artosis and Manifesto7, you've probably heard of them..

People who speak a language well in 2 years try hard, its not something that you just soak up like a sponge.

Rofl, pretty sad that this is considered an achievement in DotA. I miss MYM, I was pretty sad when they broke up.

I didn't know SelecT played alongside Loda. Impressive.

Select was also a fairly good wc3 pro as well. He was in the team SK with madfrog, insomnia, zacard

This is ignorant. I'd like to see you learn Korean in 2 years, bearing in mind the length Idra, Artosis, and Tasteless have been in Korea. His English is understandable, if nothing else.

In fact, this whole post was flat out stupid. You don't care about his dota career, but it's interesting?

And most importantly, your English is hardly good enough to make comments on someone else's.

That said, I agree with the person that said DotA is not a spectator sport. I played it a lot during its initial stages (5.6 lulz), so I'd be pretty interested in seeing how the game has evolved since, but I doubt that's true for most people.

There is a lot of misinformation in this thread. I only say this coming from a competitive dota background and actually having interaction with a lot of the players mentioned.

We have good dota players on this website [ although hard to sort through everything in the huge dota/hon thread ] and in particular Heen has played along side March and Select before. They played together for the Korean team.

With that said, NA dota had its time, and should be noted that it had some really great players [ not teams ] some which continue to play.

Imho March is not that great of a player, and neither is Select, especially compared to his successes in SC2. It is however interesting to know that he is the same select.

Also remstar was a fucking beast, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

the reason dota is not a massive esport is because of the community. all levels of players. it's fucking terrible. european players change teams every week and teams disband every 2nd. dunno about NA but they don't seem to do international tournaments. the only scene with any professionalism is china, and dota is becoming institutionalised in china like sc is in korea. if you guys think idra is bm, dota would destroy you. he's lower-middle of the bm spectrum in dota. and the unprofessionalism even extends to sponsors and tournaments that don't pay. also there is high variability on the entertainment value of the games depending on the patch metagame and the team strat. turtling strats will always be boring as shit and roaming/pushing strats will always be more exciting.

also select was no huge name in dota (on the international scene) cause he didn't stick around with a team for long enough. and johnnyutah was a beast, he carried games against ks.int and other great teams.

in dawn of war though select passed into legend. "select micro" was as much of a meme as "pure whine". pure being the same pureball that now plays sc2 (at least the name is the same and he's english). 4servant was the best player at the time i played (4servoa or something in sc2 now) and people would have arguments over whether he'd beat select in his prime. from what i heard, select had something like 8/10 positions in the top10 of the 1v1 dow ladder - you could make as many accounts as you wanted.

I followed Dota in the past and never heard of this team or anyone on this team but Enigma (I'm, assuming it's XsK_Enigma). But it's definitely interesting though.

Edit: Nevermind, this is actually very recent and not when Loda was in SK/MYM.
