Many people do not know SeleCt and his history in terms of gaming. After Winning the WCGs, he moved on to new Prey.

The dota community.

Select, after only 8 months, was featured on the Top NA team, AzN. This team (if anyone here has any dota knowledge) featured Remarkable players like NADOTAFEEDStyle]Enigma, Nirvana_Bencher]March, and AzN_noob|Ezzy.

Their biggest feat as a team was lasting for a Month and reaching new heights in the Dota league, International Dota Elite Community in terms of wins.

Their other biggest feat was beating the team Aeon, featuring the starcraft 2 player, ICEICEICE. and other big names in the Dota community.

Here is the replay

http://www.gosugamers.net/dota/replays/23913

After a month, team Azn disbanded, due to the stylings of a certain girl called Minju Han and her relationship with the team captain, NADOTAFEEDStyle]Enigma.

After a break from Dota, select continued again rejoining competitive team on a remake of Team AzN.

This team reached new heights in the na dota scene, beating teams such as Blight.usa featuring Korok as Shadowfiend, the American prodigy.
They even won the competition known as SECS 3 times in a row but unfortunately lost a week where their main Star, AzN|ken disappeared and resulted in AzN|Biscaya playing the main carry role. Lets just say, that week was the embarrasment of Azn|select's dota career but they quickly came back to win more games.

here are a few replays of AzN(the new and improved) in action taking on the famous Loda and his crew of Elite stars in the dota community.

http://www.gosugamers.net/dota/replays/31364

However, the impact of Select in the nadota scene has not been told yet. Let us just say that Select made many enemies in the scene. From lowly individuals like x9.naruto to individuals like M!ss who even went so far as to create a rap song featuring Select, and calling it a "Full diss to select"

Select's impact on gaming as a whole has been revolutionary, reaching new heights in Dota, Dawn of war, and now Starcraft 2. Lets clap this Beast of a man as he continues his quest as a Starcraft 2 American pro gamer.

http://media.nadota.com/other/Full Diss to Select.mp3

P.S. this is a story from one of the players of AzN and teammates with Select. (Ownage-Juice is Weird)

Yes smokin, another add.

After joining sc2, select quit team azn, and they reached new slumps in Wins losing to lowerr teams in the nadota scene.

His impact has surely been enormous in the Na dota community.

This is just a shoutout to our community's favorite player and wish him good luck in Starcraft 2.

here is a replay with the new Azn, without select, losing to a lower skilled but surely high potential team, TLDR.

http://www.gosugamers.net/dota/replays/34389

Unfortunately, AzN|Ken had a "bad day' to say the least in this game

not sure why this is in sc2 forum but yeah i followed dota a little bit and have heard of Select and his team before.

Found it funny that he has never mentioned it in his interviews at all.
Although Dota community is extremely bad mannered in general ( the nature of the game made it so) so can't blame him for that.

Just listen to the Song, i posted the Link. Most of it is actually dota references to both players and heroes so i doubt you would compare but the Chorus is nice.

His nickname in the dota community was actually "Deselected"

Bwahaha, that rap is hilarious.

"He think's he's logical...If you want to fight bitch, come to Toronto."

"1v1? I had to lose intentionally, so I can write this diss and be a bully"

Who is this "M!ss" guy? I have to meet him and let him know what rhythm is.
Zerg's are getting brave.

no disco, he has been here for around 2 years already. Most of it was actually playing Dota, then switching to starcraft 2 when i gave him a Beta key. Lets just say that in Dota, he played the "micro heroes" like Chen and after watching him play, i knew he had potential in sc2. so part of the reason he started sc2 was cause of me

azn were average really, what "top team in american dota"?

select was never good. engima_200# could only farm with morph. the only good american-korean was shaang/biscaya/drew kim and march.

the top american team was EG/coL./bfb and usually consisted of feardarkness, merlini, demon and march. select would be a beginner compared to them.
There is no such thing is "e-sports". There is Brood War, and then there is crap for nerds.

SeleCT was quite the fire breather in the NA dota community. Always wondered why he wanted to avoid his rather colorful history. I guess he wanted to maintain a professional image with a fresh start

Shadymmj, i doubt that. March showed his play by constantly underperforming on team Nirvana and lets just say Biscaya's time to shine was overshadowed by many other players in the scene such as Microorgg, Kainin, D.shady, and Power.net

Don't care about his dota "career" altho i find it interesting!

I just wanna know how can a guy that lives in the USA for 2 years speaks english so poorly and almost doesn't have any vocabulary?

Maybe because he stayed in his house playing games :D at least his good in those games hehe
