Today is probably the saddest day of my Starcraft II life. Tester and Cool have been my two favorite players since beta / early retail. They were the reason why TSL was created and was why I followed the team. I wonder if something is going on behind the scenes that we don't know about since their three most "accomplished" players have all left within the span of two weeks. Obviously Rain's run was half luck and Tester and Cool haven't been relevant in almost a year but nobody else on TSL has came close to doing what they have. They were the two highest paid players on the team and I'm sure because of Rain's GSL run he was probably the third highest so I wonder if something happened with whoever was writing the checks.
A lot of people are speculating on whether or not they will join a foreign team and I beg to god that that isn't the case although I honestly can't see what Korean team will want to pick them up. They left oGs because the practice regiment was too hard and now suddenly all of TSL is participating in the NASL open bracket. Maybe Coach Lee is finally cracking down on his team. Maybe whoever is writing TSL's checks stepped in and said they actually needed to start playing Starcraft and producing results and not be on the same level as Zenex and fOu despite all the big names they have. Maybe their team house was raided by the police and all of Cool's "prize money" was compensated (if you know what I mean) so him and Tester left to enjoy the "money" elsewhere. Or perhaps they are going to get their mandatory military service out of the way, they are considered old in Starcraft terms anyways. Whatever their reasoning for leaving is, it is either really good for TSL or really bad for TSL. The team is either falling apart or the laid back structure that Tester and Cool left oGs for is breaking down from Coach Lee cracking the nine-tails on his team and they might actually start practicing like a Korean team should. Alive is sick good and has been their ace for a while, SangHo was better in Brood War than Cool and Tester, Revival has shown he is a much more competent Zerg than Cool in his Super Tournament run and Puma looks like he is really decent but hasn't caught a break at Code A qualifiers yet.
It's a sad day but I am trying to be optimistic. I guess we will find out TSL's fate in the next few weeks or so.

Oh and the most important question that comes out of this that deserves to be detached from my main post:
Will there finally be a new GSKILL commercial?

Cheer up Marty! Fuck Coach Lee, he was seriously bad for this team. Atleast OGssKs and cool stay together, maybe they form a new team with Rain.

Yes when we record it is going to be like CNN when Osama died.
Nothing but TSL coverage.

Yeah, we will have to talk about our favorite moments from all the gsl's and all of our tear shedding in the gstl :'(((

like coach lee sending in 3 terrans when there is obviously a terran killer in the booth
|
Or using jyp and puma instead of clide

This time it's going to be like when I had to change my Facebook relationship status to "single" after me and my girlfriend broke up. Going to take a few days until it sinks in and I can come to terms with it...
and rofl at the bastard sons comment. that's kind of true since Cool and Tester made the team. hahah

There's a new commercial out already, saw it during Code A tonight.

Play zerg, so you have a reason to download haypro's replay pack.
|
Marty switchin' to zerg. Nice. I've been meaning to switch to zerg but every time I try I can't figure out what to do.
|
Hero AND MMA out in first round, the streak of bad SLN predictions continues.
|
Hey guys, a team sounds like a great idea. Let us know when you get more of the details worked out. I'm probably not good enough to make it, but would still like to try.
|
Also on the whole TL/foreigners crap. You realize TL is for foreigners, by foreigners. Even if one of you guys manage to go to korea, most of the TLers will cheer you guys on. Why? Because you would be taking a huge leap. Also this website is foreigner home court.
Even though I would rather watch koreans play. As a foreign player ill always want the foreigners to improve. Yes, beating a korean does mean improvement.
Anyway still love you show, keep it coming.
|
Marty how are you going be able to play sc2 when you can do high level protoss strats like chronoboosting a carrier
|
Well yeah, we get that part. But they have such a bias that it's sickening. Like how Marty mentioned that jinron cheesed game one and people loved him for it. But because hong un did it for game 2, they hated him for it
