I think the only reason voids are nerved is because they are too good in team games. That makes me sad, 1v1 should be the primary focus IMO.

Now I'm worried that BC lategames will become common and they will be near unstoppable, Protoss AA is just nonexistent. BUT BUT YOU CAN FEEDBACK THE BCs!!111oneone Thats probably going to be the average terran response.

Void Ray change is perfect, makes them more viable uncharged and now they don't totally rape face when charged. Nexus life is nice, makes it less prone to getting taken down by a small raid. Dislike the supply before rax thing, makes terran play exactly like toss which is a shame, 8 rax has always been a part of terran. The medivac "nerf" actually isn't that horrible, will make them stay with the army more instead of running out infront. This is a nerf for the best players who managed to keep them with the army anyway, but for me who would try but sometimes fail its actually not that bad. Nitro pack change has pretty much removed reapers from the game, but TBH the unit is poorly designed. IMO give the unit more regular damage less vs strictly light and add a little life and the unit is viable even with Nitro pack after fact. They'ld be like cliff jumping hellions, just a bit weaker in a straightup fight. Thor change makes sense, feedback essentially killed a thor particularly since 250 mm is such a weak ability, nobody would ever use the energy. Zerg buildings getting a little more durable makes sense, a bit less prone to snipes. Still a medivac of rines will take a building down pretty fast. Roach range is a smart change, range 3 just made the unit worthless. You just couldn't ever bring enough roaches in range of an enemy, this makes the unit a bit more worthwhile. All in all a good patch... just wish they would get rid of supply requirement for rax.

Not to mention that they would mostly have yamatos blasting your nexus / carriers which would lead to their energy being even lower.

-Fixed an issue where players could not cast the Feedback spell on Point Defense Drones. Ok, I sort of like this. It's how I expected it to work from the beginning. Now, I just have one question. Can Zerg NP the PDD?

They were a sub-optimal choice in 1x1 but they were the only decent counter to BC's. BC counters will now look something like this: Vikings, BC's, Marines, Corruptors, Hydras, Mutalisks, Void Rays, Stalkers. Having both Protoss counters be the 2 worst in game will be a problem. I think they should at least make the Void Ray and Viking have the same range.

But I'm curious about this: Wasn't there a patch were they changed the PDD to count as a building, exactly so you couldn't Feedback it? Anyways, I'm happy to see this changed back. I thought this too but then it was brought to my attention that storm can't damage structures either so changing the pdd to a structure probably meant strom couldn't be used on it anymore.

You do know that Vikings are armored, and voidrays deal 100% more damage towards armored targets now? (Precharged levels 1 and 2). Yes because having 9 range vs 6 is hard to outmanuver. Like many said after patch toss air will be nonexistend and wil get owned from almost everything.

You needed those charged speedrays to a) take advantage of the lack of mobility of the zerg ball b) kill the broodlords as quickly as possible Protoss lategame took a huge nerf ![]()

And by perfect, you mean never used competitively again, then you'd be correct. One less unit to worry about in TvP so I guess it is perfect for Terrans.

This is especially true when a unit is completely changed and not just nerfed. You may all well be right about VRs being useless now. But I will not accept that you can somehow know this just from reading the considerable changes to the unit in patch notes.

I totally agree. They aren't used a lot in high level play. Marines and vikings just own voidrays. Queens and hydra's too.

If you screw up (read: 1-2 voidrays get killed earlygame) It's GG most of the time.

Extremely cost ineffective piece of garbage. It'd take an idiot to think that a 35% dps nerf on a glass cannon is a buff in any capacity. It's bad enough it got nerfed so heavily, we don't need assholes telling us it's a buff. Have you played with Void Rays yet? No. Probably laughing your ass off that a 150 mineral Queen can solo a VR now.
