This is basically already taken into account by the program: 1) Look at extractors if <2 then means 2nd hatch is expansion, >2 means in base. <4 means in base, >4 means it took its 3rd. 2) Do that same with mining drones (~24 per base = saturation...) so at 40 drones, 3 gas, and 3 hatch means 2 base with 1 hatch in base but at 60 drones, 2gas, and 3 hatch means 3 base due to minerals as well, 20 drones, 5 gas, and 3 hatch means 3 base due to needing more gas | ||

So if there's 40 drones and 3 extractors, it's only mining 40 - 3*3 = 31 from minerals. Since the mining rates don't change for for each worker added to a mineral patch until there's 3, that's only 15.5 mineral patches that need to be mined. That is 2 bases. | ||

And if it's at 0 gas and 40 drones it automatically assumes I want a 3rd base, no? I'd like a way to say get a hatch in base, not at an expo, regardless of the saturation level. Why am I being fought on this? It seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to ask for given how common the situation is. | ||

Just Wondering... There is not a point in a game where you will get to 44 food(40 drones + 2 queens) in drones and get no gas (so no teching, only lings, no speed, no upgs... ya...) Now say you get to 44 drones (full gas, full 16 on mins each) Now what? Well at 48 food (44 drones + 2 queens) in economy I'm hoping you have a bit of an army, and are thinking of taking a 3rd anyway... Really, the way that I described for whether to take an expo or build in base makes sence for an in game perspective... Take another base if: 1) Need more gas 2) Need more mins Make in base if: 1) Just need more larva Just like in a real game and as such... you will take an expo when you are at 44 drones, below that you still make in base, and continue like this for a while... | ||
