In AoE1 only 1-2 races were worth playing because their racial bonuses pretty much meant they would win. It's funny because ensemble made zero effort to balance it. On the positive side, you can play all races in AoE because they all play nearly the same. Civ bonuses were meant to "cater to playstyles" or some other foolish WoW-esque motto that never will work that way in high level play.
Assyran and Yamato.. -_-

It was a total relief for him.

It's so hard to fend off air without investing too much into hydras and mutas and get over run elsewhere. Hydras really need to go back to tier 1.5 and deal a little less damage and cost a little less. It's so stupid to see a tier 2 unit with 80 HP. Right now, the hydralisk is so underused because it's slow and easily hard countered. So what's Zerg's only plausible "AA"? More mutas.
How you can make Zerg have no AA (don't give me the queen crap), until mutas/corruptors? There's just something wrong with this formula.
That's what they did for Red Alert 3. Empire didn't have AA until tier 2. And that was really balanced... oh wait.

Spoilering for the time being: + Show Spoiler +He got really really really lucky game 3. Top played the same dumb mass thor off double expand build instead of going straight for a thor drop on the nat ledge which would have won the game. He could have done a number of 2 base or 1 base allins, basically ANYTHING before cool had 90 drones and ultra tech. Against a more abusive opponent I think Cool would've lost.

Personally, because I don't find it fun to have to sit back macro-ing while I wait for the other player to blow his load. All I want as Zerg is some legitimate attacking options, other than Mutas which everyone with a brain prepares for now.

exactly
+ Show Spoiler +TOP just did the same mistake twice. going double expo after little to no(game1) harass. letting Cool macro up for a looong time

Queens are fine as anti-air actually. THough they can only be used defensively. ANyway agree with Hydras being useless against every terran unit almost. The problem in balancing them IMO is that it seems to be a pretty balanced unit vs protos, and changing them to tier 1,5 likely will make them a bit too strongs vs protos (or just require a complete change in design). Switching roaches and hydras in tech (so roaches become tier2) is a mistake as well, as an hellions are pretty good vs ling/hydras. So balancing the hydra is not an easy task, and I kind of think it was a mistake from blizzards side not to adress this problem in the beta, because you probably cant make any huge changes in the game right now, so the hydra will prob. continue to be an useless unit vs terran till the expansion gets out.

Good thing is I can ladder low diamond as zerg no problem ^^

+ Show Spoiler +The buildings rarely factored into it. It was mainly Thor vs Ultra and Ultras were significantly better vs Thors before the patch. Poor decision making to go mass Thor, almost any other composition would have won game 3.
P.S. It's not a bug.

i guess they just don't mind taking 2 years to balance the game when people are trying to play it for a living That's stupid. Nobody should be playing SC for a living, maybe as an experience or something, but those who try to make a living off it deserve to get screwd. It's just a game.
ROFL DO YOU LISTEN TO YOURSELF?
Take a look at BW's influence in korea.

+ Show Spoiler +LOL at the outbreak of spoiler tags. Does people really not going to understand who won just from the amount of spoilers being posted currently? It feels to me like a dead give away.

Does anyone else hate the grid lock system for buildings? I was surprised at how "fat" the buildings actually were and how efficient pylons were at blocking off. Also, Zergling's collision size just seems way too big. Completely surrounding units often result in half the lings circling around, just because they can't attack or "fit." These are one of the slight things that are missing for the zerg, compared to BW.

it could just as well been something like + Show Spoiler +omg Cool lost, TERRANS OP!!!!!! so no its not a dead give away
+ even if they can figured it out, its still better then just not spoil tag it

Still I think Cool would be better off switching race, he is such a talented player. Like Idra said, this patch, 1.1, would be good if it was 1month ago. Blizzard taking it too slow when there clearly is an issue.

+ Show Spoiler + Top's play was appalling. In game 3 he had an advantage and sat in his base doing absolutely nothing. All he needed to do was attack at any point before ultras and it would've been an easy win, but nooo... he patiently waited for the ultras to come out and rape his thors. So far the GSL has been a huge disapointment. US and EU tournaments in general have been more interesting to watch or at least they didn't make me facepalm so often at absolutely horrible decision making.

+ Show Spoiler +I completely disagree, he played a very safe game and it absolutely paid off for him. How is doom dropping every few minutes doing nothing?

I don't 100% agree with US and EU tournaments being more interesting than GSL. It's some of the same people winning over and over lately with the same tactics. I just haven't seen anyone from either servers bring something new to the table thus far.
