it seems as zerg its very hard to be aggressive and set the terms of the playing field.
it's always...crap what is he building behind that wall..i need to know so i don't build the wrong units to counter him.....
lack of creativity / diversity for zerg make them extremely hard to build anything but a direct counter....and behind the terran/protoss (one zealot) wall they can build any number of things...
i srsly hate how one zealot wall is so lame...

If the next patch doesn't yield SOME kind of actual buff for Zerg, I'm selling this game and forgetting it exists, and telling everyone I know to do the same. It's really not worth $60 to not be able to actually enjoy the game. They might as well just remove Zerg as a race and keep them in the campaign as an unplayable enemy. Then they'd at least have a sensible place given their design.

top Zergs are not that far behind top Terran or Toss. it is an UP race, and certainly a harder one to play, but it is not so UP that the race needs to be redesigned. Subtle buffs to certain units and mechanics will likely be enough to even things out--any more, and guys like IdrA or Cool will leave top terran or toss in the dust.

Fight the power man.

what is this kind of balance where Z hast to put much more effort into their play than T or P ? yeah today someone came up with a "balance-graph" that should show how fine the balance is. zerg is stillt the most annoying and intense race to play ( no, dont tell me to switch race - -" ).

So no one sees the irony in Cool's 1st and 3rd games today?
I'm not talking about Cool's QQing before his "Spoiler" today. It's just how Cool "Spoiler" the opponent Terran suddenly made me feel the irony in it.
Blizzard says "What saved you was just a bug! You won't be able to 'Spoiler' Terran like today. We'll fix the Terran-not-as-OP-as-before-problem SOON."

i think 1 solution could be to lower the cost of the muta.

would be OP imo

Brood Lords and Roaches were OP in beta, that didn't mean that you couldn't beat Zerg it just meant that the odds were stacked against you. Same thing now, you can win as Zerg you haven't got a lot going for you. I mean :D if no Zerg won a game in the GSL then it would be beyond broken so the fact that Zerg occasionally wins doesn't mean much.
|
why its so bad to swap roaches and hydras in the tech tree, while nerfing the hydra , making it 1 supply while redesign the roach into that unit that it was designed for - for taking damage with regen.
i honestly dont think this would be terribly OP.

I only saw the first game, but Top through a already won game away by doing fancy medivac drops that did not do any damage. Instead he could have just pushed out 2 mins ealier with mech only and completly roflstomped Cool.

I think that's kinda the point.
No one is saying it's impossible to win, just that you have to vastly outplay the other person. You can't make near the same number of mistakes.

Terran is so well made.... every unit it makes is useful at every stage of the game, which gave rise to the 111 build. Toss is basically relying on storm and colossus, and zerg army is always roach ling hydra plus however much infestor/ultra/br you can afford. Mass mutal is only viable (and so fucking annoyingly so) in pvz. When you know your opponent is going roach hydra every single time, and considering how ridiculous cheap/quick to make/effective m&m is againt that combo even without higher tech support, zerg really has no answer against terran atm.

Cool owned the best player from OGS so I guess there is no need from him switching race as he is kicking ass.
And the numbers aren't that much of a difference anymore
Terran: 6 Zerg: 2 Protoss: 4 or 3
I think fruitseller is making zerg vs terran a little bit more balanced :D He did an amazing job!

Cool is more worried about Protoss than Terran. Especially the Top protosses. *cough* Tester *cough*
