How's that fair. If you try to repair your wall your scvs and stuff standing next to it will die? I'm not going to jugde weather or not this is a bug I'm just saying it's broken.
Meanwhile: zerg can't repair anything that anything attacks. Derpderp zerg is borked. You can transfusion. Cost nothing, great spell. one transfusion costs 8 larva which is 8 drones which is thousands of minerals People act like Transfusion is amazing but it is one of the least cost effective spells. 150 to one unit is not that good since it will just get re-targeted down anyway. It works well early game but falls of the map later on. Maybe if you wanted to go with cheese like mass queen but then all someone needs to do is make Archons or ghosts and the Zerg is S O L. Transfusion has saved me a few times vs fast Voidrays but that is about all it can do these days. Any way you cut it I would rather have a 2 creep tumors or 8 larvae instead of 150 life on a unit that will die seconds later anyway.
I think transfusion is cool and definitely has its uses. If you make more queens than you have hatcheries, the energy is less of an issue. It would be more useful if it was cheaper though.

It's a bug/issue. Pretty simple.

wow..... and ppl say tank splash is imba?

This thread is both facepalm-worthy and hilarious at the same time.
Mostly facepalm though.

A bug is a coding mistake.
This works as described.
Whoever screwed up wasn't a programmer but a decision-maker.
The way repair works now is retarded and needs to be changed. That doesn't make it a bug. Marauder stim is retarded. That doesn't make it a bug.
An analogy would be a typo vs just saying something stupid on a forum, like this being a bug.

Show nested quote +Can one of the blues please confirm (or refute) the idea that the new Ultralisk splash damage is indeed a bug? A lot of people think it is. Some people don't.

"fixed a bug where ultralisk splash damage affected buildings"
um, that's exactly what they said they were doing

they still haven't said it's a bug

OK.
Whether or not it's a "BUG" or an "ISSUE"... does it really matter?
Do you REALLY want chat rooms?
What matters is that they said it's UNINTENDED and will be "corrected."
Is that good enough for everybody?

You honestly believe, in your heart of hearts, that blizzard is so fucking retarded they don't even understand how their own game mechanics work? Seriously? Moreover, that they didn't test it at all in the months they've had to test it? That is what you're implying if you didn't realize.
Incredibly naive. There is no way this is unintentional, however it is retarded and needs to be fixed for balance, along with a lot of other things in this game. All with same priority (including fucking marauder drops.) Saying it isn't intentional when it works exactly how the game is coded for it to work just makes you look dumb.
Unfortunately yes - I believe Blizzard didnt get to test this on big buildings with surrounding units/buildings and that the way it turned out to work is unintentional. (Or at least the balancing team didnt get to test it enough after coding was done and probably QA just checked "aoe attack on buildings working now instead of ram? ok fine!")
Especially as it doesnt even help zerg in ZvT too much at all - the issues here are in early/midgame - endgame when zerg manages to get to ultras they were in a good position before the patch already. Terran can opt for more OCs now and lift off the big buildings if necessary when ultras are threating to come. On the other hand I believe it has a much bigger affect for ZvP and ZvZ as in those matchups you use more melee units which cant just stay out of range of their buildings and they cant lift off their buildings either. Guess just as 70% switched to T recently its the only matchup which gets enough attention for that.
edit: oh here you go "That comment stands. It's a known unintended issue that is slated to be corrected in a future patch."

that was established on page 1

Ok so say they fix this issue. How big splash do you find resonable? I would say three ultralisk placed around a base should be fine, maybe four. Would be same as the in that clip but you would have to place them manually giving the opponent more time to move the workers away. And it would take a bit longer to get the base down since Ultralisks arent very fast.
So if you only have two ultralisks there would still be space to repair.
|
Ultra splash should affect units and buildings within the range of it's mandible animation, simple as that. That video is hilarious though, lol! Did you see where the T realized all his scvs were dying and did a double take, back off, then repaired again? lol hilarious. How could Blizzard possibly miss that? too funny.

This looks like the dwarf flying unit in WC3 with the upgrade to hit units beyond his own target

If you are computer literate it does matter. If people would stop misusing the word bug this thread would have ended 40 pages ago.

blizzard doesn't use the word bug.
see previous posts. and yes i am literate with computers. seeing how they don't ever use that word, you can't really confirm or deny whether it is a bug.

LLOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL such hilarity in this bug lolol

Just saying...for those people who think the ultras killed the turrets...did no one else see the 3-4 mutas on the right side? Also already Blizzard said this is an "issue" not a bug on the US forums and it will probably be patched soon.

oh my...this takes "Area of Effect" to a new level. o_o; I hope Blizzard fixes this soon, though this is actually pretty rofl to watch. "I'm not even close to attacking range of you, but i can splash you! sup?!"
