They had no intentions of making units magically die with out being hit by the actual pincers. It looks ridiculous and it's broken as all hell. No one on here believes it should stay, no one is that stupid. I'm sorry but 1 ultralisk should not mean abandon base or you lose all your SCV's and PF. I wish Blizzard would get their act together as this is pretty game breaking. I hope we don't see it in the GSL. I'm not saying it's not silly. I'm saying it's not a bug. They made the exact change they said they would make. They just didn't fully think through the consequences of that change. That's not a bug. Blizzard called it an "issue" which is a good word to use here, but it's not a glitch or bug. I hope they just fix all splash damage to center on the point of attack instead of the unit. This kind of splash doesn't make any more sense for siege tanks than it does for utras. They said they're going to fix it and in the meantime it's really not game-breaking and it's not any scarier or more dangerous than a dropship with marines or maruders. I don't know what's funnier in the thread on battlenet: the terrans crying about it or the zerg crying about blizzard saying they're going to fix it.

You fail to notice that this concerns all terran building, now you can't repair anything ultras attack? How's that fair. If you try to repair your wall your scvs and stuff standing next to it will die? I'm not going to jugde weather or not this is a bug I'm just saying it's broken. Meanwhile: zerg can't repair anything that anything attacks. Derpderp zerg is borked.

Yes but Zerg isn't intended to have a PF, and they would have other units with that hatch. 250/150 extra in the bank as well compared to a PF.

Right, because all drones now have transfusion and can instantly spam it on a hatchery once it's under attack.

I think it's fairly fair, kill the ultra, then repair. It adds strategic flavor.

Especially those 5x AoE denial combo ^_^ ES, Tide, Void, etc. But there was always a way to take them down. Singling them out. Or in this case, avoid repairing/camping next to your buildings. Also, just because you lost those 30 SCVs... you could drop alllllllllllll your mules to recoup the losses.. I'm sure you've seen those high level plays where Terran comes back from the brink of death plenty of times. If you build PF's at all your expansions you don't have many mules to drop. Also you are looking at TvZ without considering how this change effects other matchups. What about PvZ or ZvZ? The Ultra AoE will quickly make work of probes, drones, and larva as well once the ultra(s) start hitting the nexus/hatchery. Is this needed to make ultras viable in those matchups? If PF w/ mass repair is deemed OP by Blizzard they can easily reduce it's power in much more resonable (and logical) ways. Reduce the damage on the PF, reduce/remove the AoE from the PF's attack, cap the number of scvs that can repair a PF, reduce the rate of repair, lower the armor on the PF. All of these changes focus on the problem of the PF being too strong and reduce its power. Claiming that this kind of AoE, which has been stated by Blizzard to be an unintended side effect of the ram removal, is "needed" because PF's are too strong is ridiculous. Edit: Anywho I'm done posting here. Way too many bitter people posting here who have lost perspective and trolls just looking to get people riled up. Logic doesn't work with people who don't want to argue logically.
