They should atleast set so just touching units get dmg.
As it is now, some SCV's are like a... "meter" away from the Comcenter, and till gets hits.

Now there are 2 ways to kill a planetary fortress. Banelings were the other one. This one is actually cost effective.

It would make sense if the ultras attack got a different wording and an animation, but to think blizzard would intentionally and knowingly leave this huge, invisible splash damage unchanged is being a bit naive imo. Sure, cleave helps against obnoxious repairs. But they could just as well reduce repair rate and then make the cleave originate from the ultralisk instead of the target. That way you'd avoid this terrible implementation we're seeing now.

Lol, it has nothing to do with imbalance. You can clearly see that the Ultra's splash radius is 5 times bigger than it's stats suggest. I'm opposed to it because it is not intended, not becuae I think PF + repair > everything.

This is clearly a bug, Blizzard won't let the majority of their subscribers cry.
We've known for a while that terran has the exclusive rights to kill hatcheries/nexus' in ~5 seconds so that makes me pretty sure that this is just a bug, it HAS to be, I mean, what would all the terrans out there do if their 3rd/4th expansion was actually vulnerable.
The game would be so HARD.

I hope this gets fixed so I can go back to slaying zergs 4 times better than me instead of having to settle for 3 times.


Since Blizzard stated in the situation report that they were going to remove the ram attack to make it easier to kill small buildings like a group of supply depots I really doubt this change is intended though.
But Blizzard will probably figure that out for themselves.

You are assuming the zerg micros and the terran doesn't though, banelings won't easily reach scv's unless you have creep all around the PF, for IT's he just pulls scv's while the IT's are eggs and the PF kill them while the scv's just wait.
Not saying it's impossible though, zerg definitely got harass options, it's just a big risk and usually not a very realistic option in any game.

I thought splash was meant to originate x units out of the center of the targeted unit, not x units out of the edge of the targeted unit?
ie. Tank splash would be the same size regardless of hitting a zergling or an ultralisk?
(sorry I play protoss and rarely get archons so I'm not very familiar with that kind of splash damage)
