Oh hey look a ridiculous bug that makes killing entire mineral lines elementary. "Obviously it's balanced. Derp. Blizzard DEFINITELY tested this, I KNOW" You guys are seriously pathetic. It's going to be hotfixed within 24 hours. User was temp banned for this post.

You terrans QQ'ing know how fast you can kill a hive with the same amount of stimmed marauders compared to those ultras? Just pull away your workers much like we have to do when you have banshees, helions, thor drops, marauder drops, viking lands and cliffed tanks. seriously l2p terran tears are so fucking delicious... Are not acceptable. Discuss the game, don't post bullshit about what race people play.

Patch 1.1. Ultras benefit from this now toss Terrans: Blizzard, ffs fix this, this is bullshit. Ah, I see. No double standards of course. Now there are 2 ways to kill a planetary fortress. Banelings were the other one. This one is actually cost effective. I think its a bit silly, but it seems fair considering how its otherwise impossible to kill a PF even WITHOUT army support. Tank splash does not work like that, lol. If it did, you would have noticed, beleive me.

It would make sense if the ultras attack got a different wording and an animation, but to think blizzard would intentionally and knowingly leave this huge, invisible splash damage unchanged is being a bit naive imo. Sure, cleave helps against obnoxious repairs. But they could just as well reduce repair rate and then make the cleave originate from the ultralisk instead of the target. That way you'd avoid this terrible implementation we're seeing now.

I'm opposed to it because it is not intended, not becuae I think PF + repair > everything. Ultra - Building splash radius increased to 6 Somehow I missed that? Exactly. I wish people would stop talking about balance for one second and take a good look around.

We've known for a while that terran has the exclusive rights to kill hatcheries/nexus' in ~5 seconds so that makes me pretty sure that this is just a bug, it HAS to be, I mean, what would all the terrans out there do if their 3rd/4th expansion was actually vulnerable. The game would be so HARD. I hope this gets fixed so I can go back to slaying zergs 4 times better than me instead of having to settle for 3 times. Since Blizzard stated in the situation report that they were going to remove the ram attack to make it easier to kill small buildings like a group of supply depots I really doubt this change is intended though. But Blizzard will probably figure that out for themselves. On September 22 2010 09:31 SpaceYeti wrote: Lol. Micro and positioning are your friends....or they should be. Banelings can easily reach SCVs on a PF protected mineral line unless you're A-moving them in with no other attention paid to them. Also, two fungal growths kill SCVs. Wanna get your banelings in? Spam ITs by the PF (spread them and it's even better) and roll those puppies on in. There are lots of ways to harass a Terran player in midgame if you are imaginative and especially use infestors. You are assuming the zerg micros and the terran doesn't though, banelings won't easily reach scv's unless you have creep all around the PF, for IT's he just pulls scv's while the IT's are eggs and the PF kill them while the scv's just wait. Not saying it's impossible though, zerg definitely got harass options, it's just a big risk and usually not a very realistic option in any game.

ie. Tank splash would be the same size regardless of hitting a zergling or an ultralisk? (sorry I play protoss and rarely get archons so I'm not very familiar with that kind of splash damage)
