keeping it up will result in changes to bnet2.0 for pretty sure because nobody pays for the old bnet so it is going to become a costfactor. they want you to switch to the new game what happens if you do not? guess.

Its a shame that the people who have never heard of this forum or have even played sc1 or don't even know about an on-going beta, far out number us few that have played and understand how blizzard is shafting us... Thats probably why they aren't integrating chat. So that the entire casual community is not made aware of what a poor service they are receiving. They want to be a media company and have complete control over everything the consumer sees and hears. Chat rooms are not controllable. I can see no other reason for not including a 20 year old technology in "BNet 2.0".

What kind of dbag do you have to be for people to have to BEG you for a simple chatroom system? Even if they end up giving me what I want, NEVER again will I tell people that Blizzard is a good company. Blizzard is a company with an incredible capability of making good (profitable) games. At everything else, it's pathetic. This EXACTLY what happened with the PC version of MW2. Infinity Ward doesn't give a damn about their customers, nor does Blizzard... They can screw us over a thousand times and we'll still buy millions of copies. Infinity Ward could have decided not to completely ignore the modders community. They could have decided to make dedicated servers possible; it's very easy and cheap. They went out of their way to make the game LESS appealing because it was perhaps a strategic decision. Likewise, Blizzard could throw in a chat system and LAN and all that jazz, but they because obviously they'll make a couple more bucks in the short going about it that way. They'll just take the dollars instead of building up an even bigger fanbase BY ACTUALLY RESPECTING THEIR FANS AND CUSTOMERS. They choose instantaneous profit. This may make sense... Though I doubt it, maybe f'ing their customers over IS the best decision when the primary goal is to take as much money from people as possible while spending as little as possible. However, that slight possibility doesn't keep me from being angry with what the end product is going to be. They make excuses like "we won't throw LAN into the game because we want people to play online, we want to form a community..." and then "no chatrooms". How does that freaking work? Cognitive dissonance much? How are you going to form a community on a pathetic platform which aims to make it impossible to talk to a person without knowing the exact length and width of their junk. Community my ass. Little parties with largely people I already know and have learned to quietly despise are *NOT* community. Groups of people who play together are nothing more than groups of people who play together. What if I feel like playing in LAN with my friends? I have to send data to b.net and back to play with the guy that's right next to me? Why? Because you want to form a community? So, instead of giving me choices - instead of throwing in a LAN mode so I can play how *I* want to play, I have to go by YOUR restrictions? See, "not putting LAN" and "not putting chatrooms" are restrictions that you basically have to actively get to. You nearly go out of your way to say those functions won't be in the game for some wacky reasons. The cake is there, but we can't touch it because, well, Activision is a big tease with a lot of money and it has us by the balls... The cake is a lie. I love your post ^____^ and this is just a riddicoulus situation. They want to create a community by removing LAN (poor exucse i know) and tears apart it's community by not having LAN Rankings and Chatrooms. Just so fucking riddicoulus. In just 1 interveiw blizzard went from one of the best gaming companies to one of the most ignorant -_-

I didn't played Sc1 on battle.net (only watched pro gamers, but never felt like playing it competitively), but each time I log in into Sc2 I really feel alone... No friends, no people with whom I can talk with.... On top of that every RL friend of mine is not going to get Starcraft2... Basically when I got Sc2 beta key I joined teamliquid.net because I wanted to discuss the game with someone =/

Thats from their Mission Statement. Dear Blizzard, segregating Servers does not allow for a global Community

My internet is broken, i got computers on LAN with SC2 installed ready for battle with some friends alongside, what can i do? Send them home. (%!"/$!) So I need to buy two clients, that's what you're saying? ;Yeah. then ull still need 1 more. (What in the fucking hell is this crack head smokin) ''Ten years ago, we weren't making 3D games.'' 3D Monster Maze (1981)(aka 29 years ago) "Every voice matters" ... niiiiice! too bad they left our opinion out of the deal... ''patches that enhance the feature set of Battle.net. We've got guys that are working on new maps that we can deliver online'' And for the good news, they will deliver maps (online). ''and if you're just being ranked in a huge ladder against 800,000 other players, or whatever it is, you start to feel pretty anonymous and inconsequential'' Welcome to the interwebz!! thats how we roll! ''A high-latency connection to the servers for StarCraft 2 is going to impact the game experience'' At least they know how we feel about LANs.. enuff said.. i dont like this interview, good job on bringing it out tho.
