I love how no attention is paid to protoss issues, such as the incredibly useless mothership, and how shitty templar tech is... Blizzard has been bashing protoss relentlessly with these nerfs, and buffing terran more, when they DO NOT need more buffs. I agree zerg has needed some changes, though I am not sure how effectively this patch will improve zerg...

Protoss is going to have a REALLY rough time with this patch... that is my prediction anyway.

and no, my downloader doesnt work either...

I can't say anything bad about the Toss field and the Stim/Shield upgrade decreases.
Good stuff.
Can't wait for the havoc in 3v3 and 4v4.
MBC/Liquid/TSM always.

Jsingles- its true that Protoss is a shadow of what they were in the beginning.
I think Zealots are a bit too weak... and Protoss as a whole have been eating nerfs since day 1. I don't miss Mothership/Carrier swarms, but I do miss never seeing those units at all.

Protoss : Colossus removed from the game, Psi storm replaced with hallucination and removed from the game
Zerg: Roaches increased to 4 supply, all other units increased 1 supply.

maybe thats a little drastic but i could see it happening with how things have been going

I think zealots are ok actually, especially with charge.

I am concerned about an imminent timing push of MMM/G for TvP that will be unstoppable unless protoss is forced to always use the same specific counter build against terran. This severely limits Protoss strategies and builds.

Also, contamination will be very effective against protoss tech, and using cannons to protect buildings from contamination seems viable, except blizzard nerfed the forge last patch....

It just seems like every patch is making the game more difficult for protoss.

I also predict that frenzied hydralisks will be OP against protoss, since collosi have a tough time against hydras comparatively.

I think it would be more useful for people to post when they can dl the patch haha. Apparently a few have been able to so far, but not the great majority.

yep thats what I am thinking right now.. Z and going for hydra/infestor play, get like 5 infestors early so you can build up mana, then once you have like 20 hydras.. frenzy them all and watch the lolz vs protoss.

Protoss is pretty much dead now. I feel bad for them =/ it wasnt bad enough only like 1 protoss was in top 20 in korea, now there will be 0.

The void ray nerf was definitely acceptable, but it fucking sucks how Blizzard keeps taking a shit on Protoss without trying to fix one of the major problems with the race... the fact that Robo tech is still far superior to any Templar tech in most cases.

TvZ will continue to be a bit broken as well, they really need to do more to make Zerg more interesting (and more playable in ZvT). The Infestor change was a step in the right direction but Frenzy... seems a bit boring... too WC3 :/

I really get the feeling that blizzard hates protoss lol. It's a miracle that they fixed pheonix for protoss, but probably too much to hope for them fixing templar/fleet beacon tech.

and I still dont really understand where the forge nerf was coming from...

Stop overreacting. Those changes would NEVER happen. Blizzard may make changes that are questionable, but they don't make blatantly stupid patches - every change they have made is justifiable one way or another (or is at least explainable)

if frenzy wasnt added it be a nerf but the spell was clearly intendend for ultra use overall i say slight buff but not huge

To me its less about the things they are doing, and more about the things they are not doing...

why not just make ultras faster and smaller?
why not make the mothership either useful or scrap it?

I do have one hope left though... One issue with 1v1 games in this beta is that the majority of the maps are either awful and/or very small...
Once we start seeing better maps, the matchups will change, and we might start actually seeing carriers and battle cruisers
