But I don't understand the Ultralisk "buff" It's my understand the problem is and always was the fact that Marauders and immortals practically 1 shot ultralisks and ultras are too large. So what does blizzard do, they give them less life? Am I just alone in thinking this or was this actually a buff? | ||

They are trying not to make a rock/paper/scissors game. So why buff ultra largely vs protoss but not terran? I don't like theorizing before a patch comes out. But i don't really see what's to stop an overseer just running behind an expansion, dropping some terrans and running off? That's some workers dead at the cost of nothing, and practically no risk. I honestly cannot see why the MM need buffing any more? No one can deny that marines and marauders are the most seen unit from any terran player. There's a reason behind that. They already perform well. In conclusion, this game is, for me, getting blander by the day. I like to see variance in play, not be limited to the same 2-3 strats each race seems to have. IMO blizz should be doing this 'trial and error' patching on units that are massively underused. Not trying to fix strategies that people are using, and these strategies could become obsolete anyway. | ||

Disclaimer: Well infestors cost 125 mana so you could only drop 1...which only hits for 8...would take 5-6 attacks just to kill 1 worker, I don't see it being a problem. | ||

But do any of u saying that terran is OP, ever played high-level games? terran being OP? my god At least make it above 1900 rating b4 babbling out complaints. VR nerf, ..i like it as a terran player, but i didnt see it that necessary. We shall see, if this is that devstating till the upcoming patch (well it will be im pretty sure, since bunkered marines now have same range as patched VRs) about forcefield nerf.. I think, this is an indirect buff for ultralisks, since Thors arent used all that much against protoss because of immortals (especially with 250mm now needing upgrade) and Thors are way too immobile to roll-over great number of forcefields (furthermore, all of the terran units are ranged..and forcefields later on in the game, if not used properly, wont help u much especially if u r zealot heavy army) Lastly, zerg..nerfs Infested terrans were way too good for its mana. (Auto-turrets which is a similar skill to infested marines need twice the mana than infested terrans but were still weaker eventhough it lasted longer and could be fixed by scv, at the cost of minerals. And we also gotta note that a raven is more gas-expensive than an infestor so...i felt that infested terrans skill have to be changed someway) but replacing with frenzy?..i just dont see a way for it. It simply wont do much good for zerg units. What..like r u gonna frenzy on a ling? roach? hydras?................sigh...i guess frenzy on ultra or corruptor, or brood lords could be pretty useful Anyway, i think frenzy..is not the right answer. But once again, we shall see if frenzy can be put into good use. About Ultra,,,buff(nerf?) i think the reason y ultra is not popular is because it cant approach its target as effectively as it did in SC1, especially with darkswarm gone. Furthermore, to think of Ultralisk's main roles, it wasnt necessarily just for additional fire power, it was for tanking! Its the tanker, that zerg so longed for. BUT with even lower health..will they be able to cause havoc on enemy's army?..well if Ultras can approach the enemy, it will surely do heavy damage..but remember,( Original problem was it cant apporahc! and its even harder to get nearby with lower HP.) idk, ....if this is the appropriate way of balancing. anyway, b4 saying some race is OP, at least try playing it throughly, and appropriately. peace out | ||

If you don't see any tech buildings, just target the Gateways in the first place XD You should be able to successfully cripple the 2 Gate Robo build by keeping an Overseer by their base, and you can roll them over with basically anything (Burrowed Roaches just work best since they ignore FF) | ||

But I still don't get why they are trying to give zerg another dps unit...ultalisk. We already have tons of units that have amazing dps...the ultralisk is supposed to be a tank and it's turning into an even worse unit. The problem is and always will be that ultras die too fast to marauders and immortals and they are too big. Blizzard patch after patch ignores the problem and thinks damage output will increase the use of a unit. | ||
