Here's hoping they buff Roaches in a later patch to compensate for the supply increase... really not the direction I was wanting to tweak roaches, but oh well. It'll all sort out.

Oh come on its not that bad. How often do you hit 200 supply? It just means they cost more minerals (Overlords) to build the same number.

Instead of 700/200 for 8 Roaches, it costs 800/200. 14% increase.

I understand the nerfs, but how about doing something about maraduers? I'm not saying they need a "big" nerf, but they need to be changed slightly since roaches won't be as many in numbers as they used to any longer. And also because they totally own Stalkers.

The thor thing is interesting because it doesn't allow thors to become the scv magnets they used to be but obviously make thors a lot better in a mixed army

FORGE NERF?!?!?!?!?

See, this is why I don't like these attempts at balance during a beta. The cannon rush was never nerfed in BW because everyone figured out how to stop one, eventually, and then it became another noob strategy that relied on the opponent being noobier. Instead this happens, casuals scream imba, and the developers have to please the casuals.

Forge has legitimate uses....Fast Expand, strong counter vs most cheese, 2v2 team play (only way to stop double 6-pool, for example). Cannons themselves are easy to counter with a little tech, so no one could really turtle.

Roach nerf didn't make zerglings good, zerglings are still shit.

Roaches are just too mighty to be a 1 supply unit. In 200 supply battles Roaches can be very difficult to deal with even with the correct counters in play by protoss or terran players.


blizzard is balancing the game for players who encounter 200/200 supply roaches
thank you, this was a huge issue
bw's hydralisk was 1 supply, i'd much rather mass bw hydraling than sc2 roachling (esp. now)

I meant that he's complaining about zergs massing hydra/roach but suddenly if roach start sucking massing hydra/ling would be a lot more "acceptable".

get used to svrrrvrrr 650/150 which makes only 6 roches instead of srrrrrrrv 625/175 which makes 7 roaches. It's a nerf but it's not a gigantic nerf, especially if you're good at watching your food.

Are you serious blizzard, are you f$*$ing serious? This shit is so frustrating, I think I'm going to just switch to Terran. Zerg Raaaaage.

So let's see. Thor gets a buff (versus light army units). Then gets another buff with easier micro. The two suitable counters to Thor, Neural Parasite, and now mass Roaches both get nerfed. WTF?!
