Sc2gears operates on replays. It counts train actions to determine the number of units you made.
Unfortunately if you spam actions, StarCraft II might record them even if they are not executed eventually. The success of the actions (whether they get executed eventually or not) is not recorded in replays.

/Fx is a simple file counter: it substitutes the number of replays+1 in the replay auto-save folder.

The x is there to specify the number of digits of the counter. So for example if you want a 4-digit counter, use "/F4", if you want a 3-digit counter, use "/F3"...

The result in case of a 4 digit counter:

My sc2gear randomly stops auto-saving. Restarts of both sc2 and sc2gears doesn't work :S

Hey anyone knows how to start Sc2Gears in the Systray? I want to autostart it, but the window is really anoying.

question... how come (sometimes?) against practice games against the computer (ai's), I kill all their buildings (yes, I win), and then sc2gears reports that I lost? D:

As I mentioned above, destruction of buildings are NOT recorded in the replays. I cannot tell how many buildings a player has.

You can add the game type to your name template as a sub-folder. That way all your ladder games will go to the AutoMM sub-folder, and all your other games will go to other sub-folders. You can delete other games any time you want.

Yes there is. Open any replay in the replay analyzer, then choose the "Hotkeys" chart type on the Charts tab (which is the default tab).

I did that but I cant seem to read it. All I see is random numbers. am I in the right spot? Like im talking about all hotkeys not just #s. thanks for the response btw

The Hotkeys chart in Sc2gears shows you the control groups the player used. It shows you what numbers the players used to assign units to numbers. If you move your mouse over a number, it will show you exactly what units were assigned. You can also check "Show select hotkeys" which will show you not just when the player assigned units but also when they recalled those stored units/groups.

If you're talking about different hotkeys to give various commands (E to train a Probe for example), well, those are not recorded in the replays. The replay only records a "Train Probe" action, whether the player clicked on the command card for probe or he/she pressed the hotkey for the probe is not recorded.

The hotkey setting/profile in Sc2 is personal and private. It is definitely not stored in the replay.

1. Select the "Builds/Tech" chart
2. Enable the "Trains" and "Workers" check boxes over the chart
3. Enter the "train scv" filter term below the chart and on the right (to the "Filter actions")
4. Enable "Use listed actions as chart input data" below the action list.

This can be also used to filter/display any other type of actions, like inject larva etc. Only the filter term has to be changed in step 3.
