The PvZ was pretty horrible it consisted of zerg scouting fast stargate followed by speedlings through the choke.

Game 1 I'll have to watch it again to try to figure out what his gameplan is, but there were times when he had lots of gas and minerals saved up maybe seeing what terran was going to make first? I also don't understand why the only upgrade he got was +1 carapace for mutas and he never made hydras.

Will check out for sure, even though I'm terran. Is there a way to get korean sounds :D?!

I gotta say I was not impressed with the 2 vs terran replays. The terran had really unoptimized builds with a kind of wc3 style "bring a few of all your units" army compo. Zerg macro was not that good as he got supply stuck alot and randomly double expanded and kept one of his expos empty of drones for like 5 min even though he had the money to saturate it.

So far american and european players have impressed me more with solid timings and good transitions. These two games just looked like 2 players consenting not to do any good builds against each other and instead went for 40 min micro fests.

I won't judge the player solely on those two games. Will be watching the rest ofc. But it made me a bit dissapointed this kind of flimsy improv game when I expected a solid korean macro / timing beast.

I wasn't exactly impressed either... But this zerg definitely has realized that massing drones currently is insanely strong.
If you have a good reason to disagree with the above, please tell me. Thank you.

I find them also lacking compared to us or eu tournaments, been watching the cannonball game. The terran scouted way too late, or he had maphack on, for an entire minute his base was completely defenseless, and here the zerg - the supposed #1 in the asian ladder - didn't scout either or he would have won right there. Their apm and micro seem good. After seeing more of that replay, the terran recalled all forces when it wasn't necessary, and didn't even upgrade his second command center. Seems more like a bronze/silver game.

this guy didn't seem all that special. top europeans have impressed me skillwise muuuch more. some of his opponents were horrible... and the zvt vs cannonball was filled with horrible decisions from both parties

No. I think he just has very very good macro while his micro is not that impressive. He doesnt play very creative and doesnt scout alot.

Overall i think he is the typical BW player.
His rank is prolly overrated we have aLOT of #1 platin palyers in europe as well not all are as good as muslim or TLO

I found the roach vs roach battle to be very cool and sweet micro wise. At one point he killed two wounded roaches at the same time by split microing his grouping.

Husky keeps talking about how the Asian playstyle is different than the EU and US style and I think that is what you guys are reacting to mostly.

Exactly what can one expect out of zerg atm anyway?

Sick infestor play? Ultras?

Basically optional speedlings to roaches to mutas... zzz.

Nope, this style of zerg play has already found its way to the EU/US servers. The basic idea is to make a shitton of drones, get 1 gas fairly late and stay on only 1 gas for quite a while. Then once the economy kicks in just tech/upgrade/mass like crazy. As long as you survive the first big push or the tech (like banshees etc) you will pull out far ahead.
