All in all the changes were made to the right units, but .... does anyone else feel that theyre toning every unit down a bit and making everything more of the same thing. They could have done something else to the roaches and marauders while still keeping their "identity". Especially the roach feels like a slightly different hydra now.

Oh man me and my 2v2 partner are going to be ruined =P. Since our primary build was early roach marauder push. As a zerg player though, I am kind of happy with the changes as a whole, however: I wish they would have lowered roach damage instead of reducing their armor, now zerg really doesnt have any units as a "tank" role (which sucks even more cause hydras lost hp). All in all though, good patch.

It may be a huge window but, how do u scout a terran if the terran walled-off properly and can easily stop ur scouting probe as it can't see anything except some depots, some marines and a barracks? Please tell me how.

Just change to PP and have 1 of u do mass sentry and the other mass zealot!

Roaches shouldn't even be tanks. Nothing Zerg should be tanks except Ultras. They're ZERG for pete's sake.

You really can't compare Thor-Rushes with the Marauder-rushes, because on Maps like Steppes of War, the Marauder was in your base and could actually snipe the pylon powering your Gateways before you even had a single stalker out on the Map! It literally was almost undefeatable against Protoss.

The Thor-rush we saw in this VoD was also before the SCV-nerf I think (not sure though), so that could be a deciding factor. Also, if Protoss starts playing aggressive and scouts right (which is now possible because your Stalkers/Zealots don't get pinned down and killed by Marauders now!!!!! NIIIICE!!! ^^'), it's hard to pull of stuff like that.

sadly doesnt work with the sc2 gameflow anymore. vs T the lurkers are missing and since P has the collosus that deals half a psistorm per shot hydras and lings get totally SUPER raped with a simple aclick. (not to mention forcefield totally destroying lings,ultras and any bigger hydra force)

i'm seriously thinking about switching from Zerg to sg else, Mutas became very ineffective in the previous patch, now roaches nerfed, and hydras becam totally useless.

I either switch or just wait for the other patch, doing ling+bling allins every game isnt that fun

Zerg has already been pretty figured out, so they are hardly the monster that people like to claim they are if you know what you're doing. The Hydralisk nerf was 100% unneeded, and the Roach nerf was needed but they didn't do anything to compensate. Zerg basically has zero options in the game and they nerfed our only ones.
A sound mind in a sound body, is a short, but full description of a happy state in this World: he that has these two, has little more to wish for; and he that wants either of them, will be little the better for anything else.

do it believe me. i was close to just giving my beta acc away cause Z frustrated me so much. i was so freakin tired of massing roaches evry fucking game (and i HATE HATE HATE zvz in sc2).

now i switched to terran/rnd and enjoy the beta like never before :>

I'm thinking zealots might be used for terran more frequently now with the marauder nerf. Maybe an early zealot push.. no kiting for those marauders.

I've been saying it this entire time, switch to toss =D! We have warp gates and can mass zeals as quick as zerg can mass hydras!

Void rays really aren't nerfed at all, they went from:
2/4/8 vs light
6/12/24 vs armored

to:
5/5/10 vs light
5/5/25 vs armored

It is strictly an upgrade versus light, and once fully charged it is also a strict upgrade. The only difference is that partially charged voidrays will be very weak against armored, which means that voids will no longer be able to eat Stalkers for breakfast so easily. The 50 mineral increase is not very significant, since its the 150 gas that really matters.
