I am really interested in seeing how this patch plays out, but they didn't address reaper rushing vs protoss. Wasn't it proved that it is impossible to get a stalker out before a reaper is in your base?

There's nothing to micro. they stop to fire it doesnt kill them before they reach them so BOOM they still explode

From watching the top platnum zerg streams ZVP when they do the 3-4 immortal push + gateways units pretty much is insta-win.... so how does it make sense to nerf zerg further and leave protoss ground untouched? i want to BM blizzard to bad right now. Everyones complaining about roaches but recently i find that they dont really ever work. but to appease the masses sure give them what they wanted.... but hydra? how does that nerf make any sense without lowering the cost?

Isnt 100 gas for the concussive shells abit to much..? Im afraid the scv's is gonna have to stick their hoses down the gastank of the hellions to get gas to afford medivacs now:/

mass roach is still going to be extremely effective vs mech, the roach nerf does nothing vs the mech units. it helps a ton vs bio though: marauders kill roaches in 8 shots rather than 9, marines kill in 30 shots rather than 37.

you dont get hydras vs mech, but vs bio : marauders kill hydras 9 shots rather than 10, marines kill hydras in 14 shots rather than 16

There would be tanks and torrs who would target one at a time. Talking about pure mech only siege tanks would form a chalange. I'm not sure if they could damage them enough for helions to kill them.

Also helions wouldnt be able to micro mutch since they would be there to protect the stationary tank and slow thor

Ever played PvZ? Those timing attacks are very hard to pull off and basically need the Zerg to play bad to work. If the Z has Units out on the Map backstabbing your Immortals and doesn't let half the Army trapped by forcefields, you'll be able to deflect this timing push.

Also, Zerg is 1 expansion up on this point and is going to be far ahead economically, so it's only fair that it's a little bit hard to defend a 1-base-timing-attack that is basically an all-in. Also, even Plat-players aren't really that good at doing counterattacks and not every Zerg knows the timing of those timing-pushes, in fact, most Protoss don't know it either. ^^'

Another point is, that this timing-push-army of the Protoss isn't very versatile: Immos are only worth the money against roaches and are worthless against Mutas, Zealots are obviously bad against Mutas too and then you also have to have the right number of sentrys. It's pretty delicate to have the right Unit-composition so that you don't loose to Mutas/hydras even if you did major DMG with the timing-attack.

It's just sad that an allin is the only real option Protoss HAD in PvZ. Now I think you can go for a more versatile Unit-composition and also have a chance in the lategame with Hydra-nerf against a Zerg, that is economically ahead almost everytime in the mid-to lategame against Protoss.

Hes making the comparison between roach/marauder and immortals and says its comparign 1.5 to tier 2. That makes it perfectly clear. But it doesn't matter anyway we all mean the same

WTF I can't argue about this. I'm a toss player not a terran player and I know almost nothing about terran and I don't even have beta yet so I'm gonna stop arguing about what I don't know about.

tanks still cost millions of gas, immortals still counter half of the units in the game and sentries still are the most op unit in the game. no spellcaster that is dirt cheap and requires no tech should do decent dmg at range AND have 2 of the best spells in the game.
EMP outranges any spell by the Sentry, problem solved.


and then they still do dmg. also ghosts cost a shitload of gas AND minerals ,take wy longer to build etc etc

also i were can i build zerg emp?


defending sentries is plain stupid. evryone knows how gamebraking forcefield can be.evryone knows how amazing the +2 armor is. all that for a early game caster that also deals very very good ranged air&ground dmg for NO tech (lol cyber core) and TINY cost is plain too much.

dont get me wrong, i love the sentry ( in custom games i play rnd) but compared to all other casters in both sc1 and sc2 they are way too cheap and effective at evrything.


and i dont say they are gamebraking op ala "LOL MASS SENTRY > ALL!!!11". but when a amazing combat caster that is good in evry situation and matchup can be spammed from early on to lategame its just too good.
