very incomplete patch.
nerfs to roach/marauder which is fine but no change to the immortal makes the changes a bad thing.
nerfs to zerg including the totally uncalled for hydra nerf. hydras were more then fine. roaches are the problem. im so glad i switched to terran a week ago.
tanks still cost millions of gas, immortals still counter half of the units in the game and sentries still are the most op unit in the game. no spellcaster that is dirt cheap and requires no tech should do decent dmg at range AND have 2 of the best spells in the game.

Great patch. Everything made sense, for once. A lot of work to be done still, but this is a very big step. Hopefully the big content patch (3v3's, more maps, improved bnet, etc) won't take too long

oh, teamliquid... I love how we have 20 pages of comments like half an hour after this patch got put up on the blizz site.
anyway, I'm loving the roach nerfs, I've been proclaiming reduction to 1 armor would be so awesome for a long time.
it's kind of too bad unupgraded marauders are just like fat marines now, but hopefully with the mech buildtime buffs we'll see a bit more diverse midgame unit comp (pure marauder/medivac soo boring).

They aren't bad, the protoss dominate more now!
In all seriousness I agree except that they have 3 of the best spells lol and sentries die really quick when u focus them down.

EMP outranges any spell by the Sentry, problem solved.

in the upper 2on2 matches there will be only a few terrans after the patch i think.. rauder was the only counter with its slow in the early to roaches and lings.. now u need 80s for the slow ability and 100/100.. and u DONT have this time believe .. as 2 t vs 2 z u will overunned by lings and roaches.. hf gl with the new patch, i will swich to p in 2on2 for sure

I don't know why ppl keep comparing roach/marauder, which are t1,5 to a T2 Unit. Besides, -1 Armor won't do much against a Immortal... -2% DMG-reduction rly is not a big deal and Marauders were so costeffective and with EMP still extremely good against Immortals. So whats the big deal with Immos not being nerfed? I mean: Protoss got nerfed quite a bit in the last few patches and Terran also got some major buffs. Zerg has gotten the first nerf that could change sth in a looong time, so I don't really see your point.

yep. getting banelings against mech is total waste of resources. tank shots will take 1/3 of them out before the get even close. then hellions will rape half of the remainers and the rest of the banelings will kill 3-4 blocking hellions and thats it.
so you trade like 20 banelings for max 5 hellions. no good!

Actually i saw a stream where 200/200 helion went up against 200/200 banelings.
It took 50 food of banelings to kill 200 food of helions. zerg had something arround 140-150 left
