I hope all of the terrans dont complain now when I speedling/baneling rush them. I just dont see how nerfing roaches and hydras will play out for a late game zvt especially when they just pretty much added more tanks and thors to the mix and pretty much took away the roach.

Everybody complained about roaches but roaches was one of the few options that zerg had, and now taking that option away and even giving more options to terrans.

Roaches suffered a total of a 1 armor nerf. That is not mutch against marauders it's unnoticable.
Onlly really makes a difference against rines. And still marauders also got the slow nerf. So early game it gets easier

not sure if it had been said yet.. but reaper vs terran now are uber strong LOL.

I suspect 10 rax reaper to become the main opening in tvt

I don't. Each race has a counter to mass sentry. Terrans can use EMP or tanks. Protoss has collosi and blink. Zerg has burrowwalk on roaches (which let you move under force fields) as well as burrowbanes which can demolish sentries.

Wow, is your IQ less than 50? The marauder change is huge - it means Terrans won't be favored in early battles without researching concussive shells, and the extra 100 min/100 gas that could churn out extra marauder will have to be used on concussive shell research. Not to mention that because of the gas cost, that means Terrans will tech later if they want to build a factory. Add on top of this the fact that Terrans have to research stim as well, it means Terrans got nerfed big time in this patch.


Im totally not happy with the changes to hydra and roaches. The roach is just due to too much whine and the hydra is insane as theyre already fragile, the already have a slower attackspeed and it isnt like T or P doesnt have a single answer for them. Why nerf Z's midgame? Trying to force us to get early hive for BL? Or want us to try muta spam or infestors that are mediocre?


LOL. Translation: Roaches + Hydras + Attack Move = Auto Win ... why did you take that away from me Blizzard? Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I like changing the roaches to only 1 armor but I'm not sure the hydralisk hp decrease was needed.

at marauder no longer having the concussive shots. Now there are 3 things you gotta get from your tech lab.

I'm interested to see at what point people get the concussive shots in the game. As good as they are I think I'd rather get stim first.

And were Void Rays even that good? I guess in PvP they were strong I've heard but in over matchups they really only seem to be used as a gimmick or vs capital ships.

I mean if they want to nerf protoss a bit decrease the colossi upgraded range to being 8 instead of 9.

Overall, this seems to be pretty bad for z, while P isn't effected much and I think the T change to marauders was warranted.

I guess we'll see how the sentrys are played in the new patch cuz in Patch7, they weren't imba, they were freaking necessary in every MU. Without Sentrys being that good, Protoss wouldn't have been able to maintain a winning-record of over 30% VS Z and T I guess... ^^'

I guess with roaches -1 Armor (which is great for sentrys) and Maraudesr not being undefeatable for Zealots without masses of sentrys, we'll soon see lots of "Sentry's are IMBA-Thread's". ^^'

Atleast for the first 6 pages it seems like people are most interested in a trivial change to a trivial unit. The voidray. Im almost positive when you nerf the two good units zerg relies on this hard your in troible as zerg

The thing that bothers me the most is the fact that Thors to be a complete answer to zerg atm. Not only do they completely rape mutas, but they now 1 shot hydras.

What is zerg supposed to do vs Terran atm?

Large amounts of zerglings can be effective vs Thors if you can get good surrounds on them, however you won't see thors with out hellion support.

I guess I just don't understand how Blizzard is going about fixing zerg diversity when they are taking away the viable options zerg has.

Ah, I like Patch 8, The thor build time was definately a problem, but I would of preffered a gas cost reduction on tanks.

I personally don't mind the concussive shells being an upgrade, it's not so much of a big deal and atleast it forces people to get some marines early for some extra DPS against those pesky zealots.

I think the roach nerf was mainly down to the marauder having concussive shot nerfed and marines still take a good amount of time to build, meaning roaches would of been super powerful if you could get them out really fast as you couldn't really kite them with marauders without the upgrade.
