I love it but after playing with it for a while as a toss user, i decided to remove the zealot BW attack sounds. The BW sounds were more like a stab or hit sound, which was fitting since the zealots poked, but in sc2 the zealots clearly slash and the sound just doesn't go with that. So im sticking with the sc2 zealot slash sounds. I'm loving everything else so far though. Great work!

in an interview or podcast a couple weeks ago they said that they had they were not planning to re-do the sounds. but due to popular demand they said they'd look into specifically some sound effects (but not voices it seems)

yeah i noticed this as well. i guess if youre watching the zealots then it's pretty weird, tho im usually busy focusing on other stuff that i dont notice. but i should change it back to default sounds

installed and have played with new/old sounds.. some good work done here.

thank you!!! everytime the SCV says "oovertime!" i hear "gaarbage day!"
i would like to change that. but, can some hackerz make a custom sound loader kinda like the innate one in windows for sounds?
that would just be so [expletive] snazzy.

Ghost soundpack does not appear to be working for me.

Why don't you just mix the current slash sounds with the BW grunts?

and replace lurkers with banelings! here's to hoping they add ladders for custom created maps and such and then the community could basically create their own game

@lolaloc I want to do this but i don't have the skills to split the grunt sound from the attacking sound. i'll see if i can find a way how edit: nevermind whoops. I totally forgot I had to mix the 2 sounds together..so i can definitely do this and that makes me quite happy.

i wanted to add it but given the way it looks (it's just spines now and no acid spitting) it wouldnt make sense to have the old sound

*new* v0.5.1 - remixed zealot attack sounds. now has SC2's slash sounds mixed with BW's grunt. volume of drone mining slightly increased

I'd probably still prefer them. I'd just tell myself they are "spitting" spines

Oh and thanks for your work. I'm finally feeling sort of at home in this. Not sure if it's safe to get used to it, but eh

what do other players think about this? should I replace the current hydralisk attack sounds (sounds kind of like air darts) with the old hydra spit sound, even tho there's no acid anymore?

The issue is whether or not the hydralisk attack firing sound should be the SC2's air-dart-like sound, or the Brood War hydra's acid spitting sound, despite the graphics not showing acid, only spines.

you could just do that yourself, just go to \localizeddata\sounds\terran\battelcruiser and delete or rename the help.ogg file in there

because others have said they dislike these sounds and someone specifically pointed out that hearing 'its a trap' for the first time upset them quite a bit
