how come i can't get this to work? I unzipped the folder into my SC2 Beta folder but it seems the unit sounds have remain unchanged :/ However, the "upgrade complete" sound and the "we need additional minerals sound" seem to have been changed. Did i put the files in the wrong place?

Did you make sure when you extracted the files they all went were they were supposed to? Sometimes extraction programs like to make an extra folder of the same name within.

It's amazing how much these sounds increased my enjoyment of the game. They blended right in and didn't feel out of place at all.

yeah KnockOut they added a bunch more new alerts like "mineral fields depleted" and "ally's base is under attack." unfortunately BroodWar didnt have these and so I had to leave the SC2 ones for those. but the most frequently heard alerts are BW still.

@zomgzergrush: all other sounds work but overlords are not responding with sounds? it's just silent? I can't understand why it wouldn't work. do you have a non-english client? perhaps SC2 for different languages or regions doesnt work with this? I did try it with both NA and EU clients and they work, but both were English

Really cool. One small problem, which may go away in time, is that some sounds are either the old sounds, or don't play, at least at first. My guess is that the old sounds are still cached, so it takes some time to refresh the caches, since after a few clicks/commands the problematic units start using the new sounds.

that's really odd, i dont think there's any caching of the sounds.. can you tell me specifically what units you were noticing this for? and let me know if it does indeed goa way next time

Ok, i was in a rush before, well i was playing zerg, and i still heard this annoying "not enuff mineralzzZZZ" message, but there was an advisor sound for that already in BW so i was wondering.. or is this a feature? :D

Anyways, the music pack is sweet, and the units sound good (finally :D)
Could you maybe make the hydra-shots louder? I can barely hear them in a battle

I gots english client. Ovies are supposed to sound off when you order them around, right?
