yeah after playing like 300 games all as zerg, trying to dedicate myself to them as much as possible, i'm seriously considering switching races because it's just such a boring race right now. Nydus worms, and Burrow are pretty much the only things that are fun right now. infestors are only fun in very specific circumstances

But random is my favorite to play since a little of every race doesn't get boring.

As a Terran player I hope to god lurkers stay far far away.

Burrow is the coolest mechanic that you can do so much with, I never got why it was underused or people didn't explore it more.

I play random and find zerg a little boring but it puts up my best win ratios by far, don't think I've lost a ZvP in 5-6 days and with 70% of the ladder playing toss that works out nicely

God please let them nerf roaches... and please start it back up!

How long do these take usually? Happened right when I was finishing off this guy's last buildings. -_-;;

Fingers crossed for probes now created at gateway

Wow 4'th day in a row? Thought it was a usual maintenance.

Burrow isn't used because it is so easily defeated. For burrow move harass, one cannon, one turret, or one observer and it's over.
For the amount of investment required to make it work, it is just not worth it. Also the infestor is really expensive and takes a long time to save up energy, so using it for harass is just not worth it at the moment.
Burrowing ambushes works well but I only really have any luck with banelings in certain situations. But I still don't have the hang of them. They are so all or nothing, if you screw up you can end up without an army. Sometimes you burrow them at the ramp only to get dropped in your main.
I'm sure there will be some changes but I'm hoping some of them happen now.

@0neder: burrow's usefulness is only in the earlier stages of the game for the most part, and being lair tech it's only a fairly narrow window. players will have overseers/observers/scans/ravens for the most part to make burrow's uses really limited, plus it often backfires as you'll just lose a bunch of your burrowed units if they detect it when moving out.

upgrade for for increased energy on infestors is cheap and I've found the casts use such little energy that it's not really that bad..of course utilizing them effectively has been hard, but they are a godsend against protoss heavy units if you can micro them right

Patch still coming I think, servers may be back up but the lobby still says update happening prepare to download. And I agree with having observers out ruining burrow, but overseers and more especially ravens are unlikely. And scan of course doesn't actually get you all the way to the enemies base. Ravens cost 200 gas I think, take a tech lab (instead of a reactor which would let you produce medivacs at twice the rate) etc so at least against terran I would say burrow is very useful. Especially if you decide on banelings. I think in SC1 nobody ever got it because those 100 gas were much more important for mutas or early lair, plus the only units that would've benefitted from it were zerglings. In SC2 I'm sure it's much more useful, people are just predjudiced against it =P
