What I *THINK* they said, however, is that they wouldn't have Brood War USA-1 or op ToT), that type of channel. Unless I misheard, during the Bnet 2.0 panel they said there will NOT be chat channels for Bnet 2.0 - not at launch anyway. Why? "Because we have something much bigger planned, chat channels are messy". Can someone please tell me I misunderstood them? I hope they AT LEAST have country channels. | ||

It really doesn't make much sense to not have chat channels at all. I'm not a fan of the "we'll have it eventually, just not at launch" statement that Blizzard uses sometimes, given how long "eventually" turns out to be for the company. | ||

 Chat channels have always been my favorite feature over a lot of other online games and Xbox live.They never said anything about clans >.< | ||

Blizzard is continuing down the path of 'hey lets copy what is working for these guys' instead of improving on what they currently have. Next big announcement will be "Players won't have names anymore and chat will be limited to a few phrases in a dropdown box - We feel this will cut down conflicts in game and promote friendlier gamers. Plus we have big plans for this later on". Ala the Windows online games (poker, checkers, etc). | ||

You don't understand, the larger a company gets, the more distorted its perception of what better becomes.
