But blizzard already said , global play will be in HOTS , and it will be lag free ( they use some new techlonogy for that ) , lags will be caused only by poor conection . If you have like 1-2 MB connection its normal you gonna lag on "kr" server. People with 10+ MB , or even 5 MB imo should play without lag lol? new tehnology ay? so some blizzard devs find out how to break the speed of light? right.... There is no technology on earth that can reduce lag across the globe in multiplayer games. No matter what you do, messages sent from the EU are restricted to the speed of light to travel to korea. The best they can do is have a local server in the center of each player point which will give the minimum possible lag (which will still be huge)

I have two tabs opened and responded in the wrong one.... I didn't catch the MC/JD series, this is my first series of the day. And no, I didn't see that.

What i read .. you try to say that: Blizzard is making global play , but it is uslesss because all players gonna have lags ? Then why blizzard is making this .. if there will be massive lags.. ? , make no seanse.., or you are wrong and thye find a way.

Bandwidth = number of lanes on a highway. Lag = length of the highway and number of stop lights. Speed limit is the same for everyone (speed of light) The bandwidth used by SC2 is negligible, in the order of hundreds of bytes per second, nowhere near enough to clog up even a low-bandwidth connection. When talking about a 'poor connection' for playing games, you're talking about one where the ping (time for data to get from you to the server) is high or spiky (long highway/lots of stop-lights).

It's now looking so stupid, basically locust, broodlings and IT fighting locustsm broodlings and IT, so free units, fightning free units. This is the stupidest thing I have ever seen, swarm hosts really needs to be reworked.

Hint: It can travel from EU to Korea and back in a small fraction of a second. Light speed is not the limiting factor determining ping times between two nodes on the internet.

Just wanted to add some calculation: Light speed is ~300 000 km/s Distance from Berin to New York is 6400 km Light from Berlin to New York travels: 6400 / 300 000 = 0.021 s = 21 ms So minimum ping possible between continents is 21 ms, but when you netowrking devices ping often increases to ~130ms between continents. There is posibility in reduction of ping but I think most is possible of up to ~50-60 ms from current 130

Lag is caused by server downtimes (on routers), or queued up connections, or imperfect settings/routes of connections.

Yes sure.. but to be fair.. 1-2 MB connections these days are little bit outdated , not only quality o connection is important , speed in some cases also.

They're not trying to test this game on as many good computers as possible, they're trying to get as many different hardware specs as possible.
