That's why I am so passionate about it now. I'm not throwing chairs and tossing tables. I just believe that chipping away small pieces now is going to make it easier for a cave in later. There is a whole world different between inject timing and being to see the worker count on a base. Like really different that it is not comparable. Larvae inject differentiate good and bad players because the outcome of good inject really matter in the macro. Moreover, top level players do not always have perfect inject, even pro players still slip in the inject cycle sometimes. Missing injection can lead you to immediately lose the game. However, having 1-3 more or less workers per base does not lead you to losing the game. There are more important things or skill that matter to the game more than seeing the worker count on a base. Pro players can already check the worker count by glance or quick boxing, so checking the worker count right now is more of automatically thing for them, so it does not affect the pro-level competition. Also, seeing the optimal number of workers per base does not make bad players good if they because they just lack understanding of the game or mechanic. So they still have to improve those aspect to become better. So the option have like 0 effect pro-level play, but it helps new players learn a lot or have easier time tracking the number of workers. I don't think it's a problem at all. Sure if most pro players cannot count the workers, then it would be a big deal but it is not the case here. | ||

It's pretty clear by the fact he thinks auto-inject and your workers going to the mineral patch (while actual splitting is still optimal in this situation, this just helps people with lag problems that can't do it in the first second or so) are the same thing that this guy's opinion is a little suspect. May as well compare the in-game clock timer to having a blink hack. I really hope the new additions to the game create insane new micro, harass, and timing options so we can laugh in the face of people who think the game is being dumbed down because of auto-mine. | ||

Seriously? Laugh at people, what are you 10 years old? Some are starting to upset me. None of you are getting the point. You keep suggestion that people in my opinion (which are actually many) think that a bronze can now be a GSL super star. Wrong. If you took the time to read an entire post instead of the first and last 3 words you would understand that its about slowly watering down the mechanics of the game. No its not ground breaking, but its a start to something that degrades the game's skill cap. Moreover, you get punks with statements like, "hahahahah its not going to break the game, hahah stupid people think its a problem hahahah people are stupid." At least Veldril was smart enough to post his opinion clearly enough with an argument that isn't polarizing. For as liberal and "equality for everyone man" as these forums proudly beat their chest they certainly don't show it. You're right, I don't have HotS beta, and I assumed it would be the same as in WoL how if you select a geyser it'll tell you how many workers you have working on it. That's not too bad at all then imho. Can I assume that you don't see it for your opponents townhalls? What I'd love to see is if features like this could be only enabled in custom games or ladder games if you are in certain leagues. Like, once you hit gold that gets disabled. Once you hit diamond automine disables, etc. | ||

They actually dumbed down a lot of the game and I think it would be pretty cool to raise the skill ceiling for this. Also, this might encourage more people to play as games will be shorter. | ||
