Don't think it will happen. Protoss is depending on observers to be able to move their death ball in time, while zerg has so many small and fast units that they easily can obtain map control. Terran have to pay for scans with not getting mules as well. To scout bases as zerg, you could always drop some changelings. But I agree to some extent that zerg lack base scouting. | ||

Just have one or two of the missions involve some white-colored "UED remnants" Terran force with some UED decals and possibly some medics and Valks. Even if the UED is slated to never return to the Korpulu sector, at least some in-game references would be acceptable. | ||

Agreed. Even without the Queen of Blades, a few billion zerg will be able to hold off any terran attack. Plus, once Kerrigan takes back the swarm from the hive queens.... let's just see how it goes next year. | ||

in my opinion not a unit, not a critter, but something to reach in a mish - like the preservers in the sinister turn in WoL. Swarm heading for the frost planet and ninjaing its DNA to adapt. Probably a hard kill though. P.S.: to the matter of adaptation - three times hooray for the furry zerglings - live plushies :D | ||

Actually, both the protoss and the zerg turned on the poor fellows (toss due to infighting and zerg due to the Overmind breaking free of his mental chains/changed "directive"). If they had the artifact at the time they would surely have used it on the zerg at least, but that didn't happen. Personally i think the artifact's a true deus ex machina, a result of the writers being lazy. At least in Brood War there was a way to mind control the zerg using psionic wave emitters, which was cool because it wasn't all powerful. | ||

 for the purpose of the artifact being an allmighty weapon against zerg leaving no space for them to get out of control as they got, there could be several limitations to its power we are not aware of - like limited number of those artifacts, recharge time of the big kaboom measurable in years and more, limited nuber of use of the single artifact and you could probably go on with those. after all, the final activation hasnt cleared even all the Char, and considering the artifact was shattered and hidden all over the sector, it could have been impossible for xelnaggies to use it in time. with the zerg ability to breed, the time between they got out of control and the time they expanded to another planet allowing them to survive the blast (as a race) had to be shorter than short. as a conclusion, wouldnt be afraid of the artifact being a first-to-come answer on anything zergish in times to come. the fact that blizz writers havent provided us with a reason not meaning there isnt any. after all, how the hell the characters got some info about it? only zeratul seemed to have some minor idea about the artifacts, and Raynor provided with an illustrated user manual in his dreams would be a deus ex machina way more severe | ||
