I don't mind Kerrigan being made human again, although I haven't played SC2 yet so I don't know how well the campaign was executed (from what I hear, it wasn't), but I do mind having a character that was so original devolve into a cliched mess. What ever happened to queen bitch of the universe?  | ||

The Artifact destroyed the vast majority of zerg on the planet, but largely de-infested Kerrigan(she still had zerg tentacles for hair, which look much better in the cinematic than in the art in the OP) for... some reason. Him, Tychus, and a handful of nameless marines found her naked(with long and perfectly manicured nails, of course) in a cave. Jimmy then carried her off in his arms, and for some reason the supposedly superheated and toxic atmosphere of Char didn't kill her outright. Overall, it was really fucking stupid. | ||

+ Show Spoiler + That pretty boy son of Mengsk? By the time I got to the reveal I didn't care. It would of been more a much more effective revelation if the news stories talked about the "wayward son' a little bit. Choices between 2 ghosts? One character wasn't even developed. And in the end we never hear about the consequences of the choices in story mode. Only decent choice was the scientist and protoss eradicator fleet and even that wasn't followed up on. Blizzard could of just added some text screens in the end for each of the possible choices and it would of made the story much better and cost less than 10 frames of Raynor pretending he's a deep character by drinking. Sorry for the text, but I am a really big fan of the original single player campaign and the story it told. I was really disappointed with SC2 missions and hope they do better now that the game and engine are both mature. Sometimes less is more blizzard. | ||

Unfortunately I'm aware of all of this from a friend although I wish I wasn't. The question was meant to be rhetorical. Blizzard fucked her over. | ||

Either way, I think she looks fine... as someone else said, hopefully they make the story good, but I saw the potentially leaked ending to HOTS and it was god awful. Hopefully that wasn't the actual ending, or they will change it. | ||

It's not surprising though. You have to come to expect it from the internet. I liked the campaign, and I really like the deinfestation idea in general. I think a lot of people are upset with it because they wanted Jimmy to run up to Kerrigan and then go "Kerrigan, I love you" and then for her to smash his face in and split his body in half while laughing and then take over the universe. The Starcraft Brood War ending was absolutely terrible. "Kerrigan wins... The End" and yet its campaign was loved everywhere... why? I think it is probably based in some sort of fetish for strong infested alien women dominating the universe or something. So if you deinfest Kerrigan AND stop her from taking over the universe and killing everyone, then it is like a double blow to those kind of people, hence the rage. | ||
