having to be everywhere at once and having dumped all my money in Bio (medic and marine mostly) I'm just so damn slow.
I can get the first couple of trains easy but once they start having some serious escort it just takes so long to kill em.

I think I made 4 marines or something to kill ravens but everything else I made was a razorback. Also just avoid the marauder packs for the 1st time too, you can go back and kill them on an easier difficulty for the achievement later on. Also remember razorbacks can shoot the train while moving and that you can shoot any part of the train to lower the health not just the front part.

I'd say the hardest are All-In Air and Supernova. Those were the only missions on Brutal that I had to attempt more than 3 times.

I think in hindsight if I was to play again on brutal I would have definitely used different upgrades. Planetary fortress upgrade seems key to doing All In easily and having all the tank and bunker upgrades would have made it much easier too. Engine of destruction was hard but only because I just had wraiths and no other air units, if I had been able to have vikings or battlecruisers would have made it much much easier.

I had no trouble complete other levels while going for all the achivements, but it impossible for me to get that achivement to only use the artifact once. Maybe because I didn't block off the base, no bunkers and only had 6 normal siege tanks and 5 banshee, rest is just infantries. I had to went back and play the level again and uses siege tanks and bunkers to get that achivement. It was a world of difference lol.... Edit: I picked the barrack droppod for the technology, it allows me to reinforce my infantries anywhere I go in the fly.

I pretty much did most of the game with M&M, with some tanks thrown in really.

I had completely forgotten about Engine of Destruction. I did that one really early and blew through it first try; didn't even know you could repair him. I remember just having a lot of infantry and goliaths. Supernova was similarly easy with some tanks, but still frantic. Media Blitz was the easiest mission because you actually got multiple bases available early on, unlike almost every other map where you were lucky to have one expand the entire time.

Maw of the Void gave me serious serious problems because I decided to repair my battlecruisers and not use science vessels until it was too late and I had burned a ton of gas. Is this mission even beatable without science vessels on brutal? I don't think it is... (I'm going to try this at some point- because I hate myself). But I think All-in is the hardest, then in Utter Darkness.

Welcome to the jungle: Marine+medic = lol easy Outbreak: See above. Didn't even care if it was night or day. Supernova I actually demolished with marine medic banshee and later adding tanks. But I found most of the turtle missions hard. Hard: Laser drill (the dig) All in with air. (can't just mass only tanks and marines in one spot !!) Train robbery (did it without tanks) Interesting the ones where you have to be aggressive are easy for me and hard for other people and I'm the opposite.

the second hardest I think is in utter darkness because I'm bad with toss. I finally beat it easly with mass colossi, carriers, and canons. I think build nexus in front of the ramp is also a good idea :D why everyone said engine of destruction is hard? its easy for me. just massed banshee, vikings, MMM, and always send scv.. the AI will always target my scv first.. so the scv just take the damage. so I just spam scv continously. I didint killed Loki though

Supernova was easy as I found out that the top protoss base is actually still warping in at start, so if you're quick you can take out their gateways and then the pylons before they can do anything. This gave me some free mins/gas and a good deal of time to prepare for attacking the base to the right. I may have lucked a bit in Engine of Destruction. In the second base the Odin was down below 200 hp before the SCV's kicked in. Good thing I could snipe the tanks in the 3rd and 4th base to catch up a little. All In wasn't too hard, though I think the air version is alot harder. It might have helped that I had done it on hard in my first playthrough (did a full brutal playthrough afterwards) so I knew to prepare by picking the right research/upgrades (planetary fortress, bunker hp, scv repair speed). Safe Haven seemed pretty difficult, though I may not have approached it right. I ended up winning about 10 seconds before the mothership pulverized the last base.

I was so bored waiting for Tychus to just gogogo. I even killed the Elite BC (i think it was Loki) with spread out wraiths. All in was crazy hard until i figured it out (like all missions beomce a walk in the park once you figure them outlol) Yeah I agree. I think you were supposed to do cloaked wraiths since they were introduced there, I don't understand how people could have had big problems with that level. On the other hand I had some problems with Welcome to the Jungle, possibly because I didn't have any research or upgrades yet... I found marine goliaths pretty difficult to pull off against all his colossus.

Engine of destruction was pretty hard, All-in was relatively hard too. I was playing almost without armory upgrades up until all-in (had 2 million saved up), so some missions might have been harder than they should have. Once you learn to abuse going air though, everything is retardedly easy. BC / VESSEL / AOE viking HURR DURR.

Well the point of the opening is that you get to destroy one base at least(take out the production buildings and scv's, they won't rebuild) and possibly cripple another. I took out the top right as they produced siege tanks which are the most dangerous to Odin, then bottom right as it's the easier base and my Odin was getting a bit low on hp. I was just finished taking out the production buildings there when the timer ran out.

I was only able to kill 1 factory with the ability and then i died ;D

Engine of Destruction I did with Science Vessels, a few SCVs, and a tank/marine/medic force. Still, I'm looking to make guides of the hardest levels, so this thread is of interest to me.
