I feel exactly the opposite. If you make enough stuff, all the macro levels are pretty easy with some minimal micro. edit: Again, I'm not on Char yet. I've done everything else though. You can't make more stuff in the micro levels. I'm pretty decent at making stuff. I'm not so hot at getting the most out of it all the time.

I don't think you are really alone on this. The micro missions were certainly much easier than the other ones. The main problem with the macro missions that are hard is the lack of expansions. Very difficult on levels like Utter Darkness and All In to really change what you are doing purely due to the lack of resources.

I did something similar on Supernova, most of the collosi the enemy has are hallucinations and the real ones don't really do much if you have enough medics. I had upgraded medics for the mission and combat shields etc so I guess this made it easier to use bio.

Same because i played more dota then sc1 haha anyways when it's micro i know dam well it's with in my ability to do this level as it's built in to do it with these set units. No macro guess working and defending a base etc.

All-in was the hardest for me. Engine of destruction was difficult until I realised that tanks into mass marines + medic was the way to go.

PtS is fairly straight forward so its not hard in the sense of not knowing what to do. but it was hard because it takes alot of load/saves when i did it. where as other missions in the campaign, there is always an ez way to do it.

VS Nydus I managed to defend really easily until around 80% and then I started losing my Banshees to the boss and hydras and stupidity (they really step up the amount of detection later). I made around 85-90% what turned out to totally be the correct decision and moved all my tanks up to the ledge along with all my scvs and most of my buildings too. I lost absolutely everything in the final surge just after being forced to use the artifact to survive my retreat and lose the achievement by using it twice. At 99% my last tank was destroyed and the zerg surrounded the artifact. Fortunately it managed to tick to 100% just as they were about to destroy it, literally I think it was on something like 50hp. I was... relieved.

Supernova took me a few tries because that mass banshee/viking strat that everyone recommended didn't work. I found it way easier with leapfrogging tanks. All In was probably the hardest. But then again, I used the Mind Control trick. I can't even imagine trying it "normally."

EDIT: Then again, in All In, I went easymode against Nydus Worms. With Mutas and Brood Lords I might've had some trouble.

I can't say anything though because I went the easy route and did the nydus version of All In.

My successful attempt ended with me turtling up the last canister on the map with turrets with a couple of scvs to repair them along with my main army. Surprisingly, no other mission was "hard", especially after I got both banshee and viking upgrades. The much frowned upon Engine of Destruction was a piece of cake with a banshee/viking army.
