Not sure about this particular case but some managers are supersticious to the point that they dont want to see PKs on the field and go to the locker room just as the PKs start. Not sure if that is Mancini's case as well mancini left the pitch during saudis game vs korea in the asian cup. game was on penalties and mancini didnt stay around to watch his team lose. to be fair he left after his teams 2nd miss and korea was one kick away from victory

Please Chelsea do not let this slip.

Probably not great for morale that, although I do think Mancini’s had a pretty damn good career as an ‘A’ tier coach. Did pretty well for his first Italian gigs, got City to a first league in forever and ofc got Italy to win the Euros. Pretty underrated as a coach, almost more than people forget what a great player he was!

We tried our best, for 45 minutes we were good, for the second half we were terrible and Poch subs are funny but at least he tried some subs this time. Oh well, very good point! Confidence for the final next sunday.

Chelsea were pretty dangerous in the first half, especially by the 70th minute on in the second half it felt City were just wearing them down bit by bit. That City press pushed up and up, and Chelsea didn’t have the energy to get 4/5 players up quickly enough to capitalise when they might have had an opportunity to break.
Really Chelsea’s problem this season is they can’t dispatch teams lower down the table, I’ve seen a few games where they put in pretty damn good performances against the top sides, don’t always get the results but are competitive.
I mean I haven’t watched as much live football since moving to night shift but got to catch this game and that’s my read, curious what you think as a Chelsea fan!

according to the spanish press it looks like barca are going to trigger de zerbi's release clause and appoint him as the next manager with flick being second preference.
to be honest i think the job might be a bit too big for de zerbi but lets see how it goes.

I mean in an ideal world I’d rather he build Brighton up to be elite tier in a few years, but that just doesn’t really happen anymore

Reason we cant dispatch lower teams is we play very one dimensional which works well when a team pushes up, but when a team sits back we have connor enzo and caicedo midfield 3 which is not progressive enough with the ball to move it quickly or to play that amazing debruyne esc pass. Poch can't figure that out.
Also motivation seems a big factor, we turn up vs big teams and "big games" but follow it up with a rubbish performance.
We have luckily hit a little purple patch before liverpool in the final now after they humbled us in our worst performance of the season, so i hope we can take the game to them next weekend and take a cup home!

Oh yeah it was 1-1 by then, but I was more worried they wouldn't take any points away from City!

Please tell me again how Tuchel is not a bad coach

Oh god the day is approaching and sharkie will rejoice.

I would fire Upamecano or fine the bejesus out of him XD

I looked at this and decided this is not a 100% penalty. 50/50 can call. The overly dramatic fall definitely didn't help

Two yellow - red and two penalties in one week. Gotta be a new record

I wonder what the betting odds are on Kane beating Lewandoski’s record while failing to win in the league?
|
It was a great investment. Kane has been immense.
He has 30 goal contributions from 22 games in the league, 7 from 7 in the UCL. He hasn't missed any pens either, which were a huge achilles heel for Bayern last season.
They would be considerably worse off without him!

In general, I agree. But in the last few games Kane was kinda horrible
