If you got such good coaches at your club and they fail (only won the league because Dortmund is such a joke of a club, still pissed) you have to look past the manager and check the whole structure. They fired Brazzo and Kahn for a reason but what really improved after this?

I dont know much about this club though, maybe internally its not as bad as I am suggesting. They fired Brazzo and Kahn for a reason but what really improved after this? In Tuchels defense I can only argue that he didn't get any of the transfers he wanted last summer. This Bayern team is extremly thin. Also Tuchel is historically bad at PR and saying the wrong stuff but I don't think he is necessarily a bad manager. Still far from a really good manager though. An exit this early from CL may as well be an exit from Tuchel. This coupled with the way Bayern plays at the moment (still winning most games but in a ragtag kinda way, not aestheticallypleasing at all) is probably enough to pull the plug early

Not that he’s faultless in other areas, but if he has one particularly notable flaw it’s that he doesn’t ’manage upwards’ well at all. As already mentioned, and if you’re not good at that Bayern, with a whole coterie of club legends who are openly opinionated in high level positions probably isn’t ideal.

CL group stage was also fine, can't complain getting 16/18 points from that. Yesterday they were the better team but lost. Now they lost two games in a row, earlier this season they had 17 league/cl games in a row where they went 14-3-0. If they get knocked out by Lazio that's a blow, sure, but so far the season has been 'about average for Bayern', which is 'very solid'. Tuchel's people skills with upper management can fairly be questioned but eh.

before you say the minimum requirement is tuchel is winning the cl with bayern, keep in mind that pep took 10 years to win the cl again despite his teams being considered strong contenders and/or favourites for at least around 7 seasons, and obviously no one here is going to argue that pep is a bad coach.

For Tuchel to convince me he is a good coach he would have needed to actually improve this Bayern team. Hes playing worse football than Nagelsmann but has gotten way better personnel. He would also need to admit when hes doing mistakes. Play people based on their performances and not his hidden personal motivation (Tel would have really deserved a start the first half of the season, Goretzka was never a contender for CM till Leipzig totally destroyed him in the super cup, no way De Ligt deserves to be choice 4 behind Dier, etc...) Hes made Mousiala worse, Tel worse and no one has become better.
