The market on the future of Mario Balotelli is enjoying a rebirth today, with money coming in on both Arsenal and Liverpool, who are currently 2/1 joint-favourites to sign the AC Milan striker

Utd will have to buy a top class CB because none of the players who were supposed to fill Vidic and Ferdinand's roles are good enough to do that.
Rojo 'top class' though? I don't really think so. I think he's the same level as the current senior centre-backs. I feel Jones would have been better as a DM but whatever. He can play CB/RB and I guess that's what matters to the team.

Didn't say he was top class, but he's much needed because with Shaw injured there are basically no left wingbacks on the squad. The Evans/Smalling/Jones rotation has never worked, the only time they play well is with Vidic telling them what to do. None of them can replace Vidic. If neither Hummels nor Benatia comes it will be a long season again. I mean LVG should be pretty angry that he had to start Blackett in the first game of the season because of Woodward's incompetence.

If Balotelli joins Liverpool then all bets are off, and Man City, and Chelsea will have to revise their plans.

Looks like the most likely new Liverpool striker is Falcao on a loan or Balotelli on a permanent deal. A few years ago we were buying Poulsen, Jovanovic and Paul fucking Konchesky. The difference it makes when you use your revenue on the club, not the owners own debt.......
If Falcao comes I´ll go bonkers!

I think the main difference here is that a few years ago Liverpool were not playing CL and didn't have a large pile of cash from a Suarez sale
Its pretty much certain that not selling Suarez last season for 40,000,001 pounds was the smartest thing done at that football club for a looong time.

That wasn't Liverpool's decision though.

Thats just interest rates, it didn´t pay down a dime on the loan (though money was leeched for that in abundances swell). Thats like paying the wages of seven Fernando Torreses at his very peak form! New owners have also got us loads of new and improved sponsor deals.
So while there will be loads of CL money in a year or so thats not really the only reason money is available at Anfield. I do hate thinking about the business side of football, but it feels great that the club is self reliant and wealthy once again.

There will be no swap deal involving Chelsea striker Fernando Torres and Roma forward Mattia Destro, according to the Italian player's agent, Renzo Contratto.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that Angel Di Maria and Sami Khedira have asked to leave the club.
Christian Atsu has revealed that some of his Chelsea team-mates were influential in his decision to join Everton earlier this month.

Pretty sure Balotelli going to train hard at Liverpool Someone like Rodgers cant manage him lol. Still he is a good player.

He certainly got a few goals out of former "badboys" Suarez and Sturridge! What managers do you think would be better fit? I can´t seem to think of many, not in the premier league at least. Brendan loves his footballers, and crazy as he might be, Balotelli is certainly quite a footballer!

I can't believe third party ownership is still allowed. Villarreal bought 35% of Mateo Musacchio's rights from River Plate, and now that he's wanted by Tottenham, they are demanding more than 35% of the transfer fee. Since neither River nor Musacchio's agent (who owns 30%) are willing to take less money, the transfer is dead. Now Villarreal have an unhappy player and Spurs are stuck buying the Argentine Michael Dawson (Fazio from Sevilla).

Even Mourinho and Mancini failed to manage him properly.
You shouldnt compare Balotelli with Suarez and Sturridge. He is completely different than rest. We are talking about dude who threw darts at MCity youth team because he was bored and wasted to pass time lmoa.

Balotelli rumors went on for about two days before the deal was completed, wonder how they managed get things done so quickly and also for a bargain fee.

I certainly understand why some people (justifiably) hate Balo, but I freaking love the guy. He was sensational in his first six months in Milan, and still above average on a sinking ship last season. He was scapegoated for Italy's WC exit, but really wasn't any worse than the rest of the squad.
This Liverpool switch could be a stroke of genius (if it indeed goes through). Italy, especially Milan right now, is toxic for him. In England, at least he doesn't have to be the symbol of an entire anti-racist movement.
Also, I have an as yet un-numbered Liverpool kit from the Chicago preseason game this summer. Time to become "that d-bag who already has a Liverpool Balotelli kit within a week of the signing."
