You sure its not about trading Dion Jordan or Mike Wallace?(Wallace highly unlikely because of his Cap hit)

I never really understood why the US media is so thin-skinned at these words.
I was at the US during the second Iraq war and watched a news report (FOX i think not sure) that showed a destroyed IRAQ military camp with dead bodys all over the place and then after a cut they censored a word that a US soldier was yelling. That was weird. But not as weird as beeing arrested for a couple of hours for saying "dude i don´t care how you call it but going to war will never be a good thing".

You have to understand the historical relevance of the word and its meaning versus its use in modern culture, specifically black culture, to comprehend the difference. It's still a big issue in the US. For example, if I used the word to a black person I didn't know, I'd probably get the crap beaten out of me, but if I went around claiming war was okay, I'd probably be yelled at by some equally overbearing jerk but no one would knock my teeth in.

lol @ the new Bucs uniforms.

Besides the alarm clock font for the numbers I don't see what's so terrible about them. I guess that's enough to ruin it though...

those bucs unis are horrific. they're like the worst combo of madden create a jersey and afl jerseys.
Romo would make the Texans good on the short term. That D is still very good, and even though they're older, Johnson and Foster are still higher level players and would benefit from a good QB.
At the same time, that's more of a conservative offense, which would benefit more a good but safe player like a A. Smith than a Romo, who is very good, but will also give you some bad turnovers due to his gunslangin'. Furthermore, his age, combined with the age of the other offensive cogs, means that they just have a very small window for success. a 1-3 year window is not worth the #1 pick, and the cost certainty if that player is gold. Romo's salary also really screws them too.
Romo is still good, but he is not even close to the value of a #1 overall pick. It's not just QB-needy teams that would be interested in that. Clowney is up there too, and he's got potential to be an elite pass rusher in either a 4-3 or 3-4.

Looks like the old AFL uniforms.

Though the noise has died down, the issue of Jim Harbaugh’s future isn’t going away. More than a week after news broke that the Cleveland Browns had inquired about obtaining him and revelations about his strained relations with general manager Trent Baalke made national headlines, the situation remains intriguing and problematic for the 49ers… So there’s no pretending that everything is fine. And from what I’ve been told, the tension isn’t just upstairs in the building. One source with inside knowledge of the team says that Harbaugh’s act has worn thin in the locker room, particularly among some key “face of the 49ers” type players.
Makes me happy to be a patriots fan. This shows how hard it is to stay competitive in the league. And how virtually impossible it is to stay competitive for as long as the Patriots have. Teams get good. They hear the praise. They start thinking their shit don’t stink. They demand to get paid like the best in the business. Have fun paying overrated Kaepernick 18m a year LOL.

I understand all the hype around him, but if I was a GM or Coach, I wouldn't touch Clowney with a 10 foot pole. Last year he didn't really produce despite his potential, and his combine numbers scream 'Vernon Gholston' to me.
although I'm a die-hard Jets fan, which makes me a bit jaded about pass rushing prospects with great measurable and limited on-field production...

Don't know if anyone has read that article on nfl.com about the new Bucs uniforms, but there's a really awesome part where they spoof A Few Good Men. I linked the whole article, I'll quote the part I'm referencing:
You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know, that the Bucs' getups are a fashion apocalypse that'll haunt a generation of football fans. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives! (All right, maybe I don't save lives, but still.) You don't want the truth, because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me talking ball. You need me talking ball. We use words like "logos," "sock sets" and "pewter." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline.
I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the color-coordinated blanket of the insight I provide -- and then questions the manner in which I provide it! I would rather you just said "thank you," and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a turquoise Jags jersey, an orange Bengals beanie and some Broncos vertically striped brown socks. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.
Cracks me up every time I read it, I can hear the Nicholson voice in my head..

I think skepticism around him is entirely understandable. personally, I think he held up a lot last year to preserve his body and draft status. dude was banged up and sick a bit last year, missed games he probably should have played through, and i dont think went 100% to save himself. whether or not you view that as a knock on him is up to the individual.
what should be a red flag is his lack of strength depsite his size, as displayed by the combine. then again, he seemed to have the necessary strength and leverage in actual games. i do think strength gets a little too much attention. arm length, leverage and technique is more important imo, but i guess we shall see
ive definitely read others saying he looks like courtney brown all over again.

I personally like them as much as I like the throwbacks. Wouldn't put the fortune into buying one if the Saints made a similar one but it's pleasing to my eyes.

I'm never big on taking a single season, or even a handful, and extrapolating it into meaning a player's entire career will be like that one season. Like I said, I'm a Jets fan, I've had enough Sanchez, Pennington, and Testaverde experiences to look at anything but the whole picture.
which would be a perfect lead-in to my rant about the most overrated athlete in sports history, but this thread is still young... when he chokes for the 10th straight season, THEN the time will be right.

Jets fan, hating on Pennington...does not compute? Who Next? Curtis Martin?

How long have you been watching football? Gholston was in the league fairly recently.
EDIT: That was 6 years ago? Holy shit, time flies.

The Bills don't have to play in Canada this year! YEA!
they are saying it is "on hold" or "on hiatus".. but the smartest move is to stop the "Bills in Toronto" series completely.
its 1000 times more fun to drive to buffalo and watch the games in NY. every hard core NFL fan i know would rather drive to Buffalo or Detroit. The entire "Bills in Toronto" series was a snore-fest.

As a Bills fan, I agree with all points.
