I don't think anyone is expecting different. Just that his abilities are limited because of his stature. He still absolutely can be a very important piece somewhere if he stops being a dipshit. I still think that Iggles offense thrived because of his ability to force his cb to play off and drive the safety back. It opened it up for everyone. How much did Britt cost the Rams? That dude can be really good if he comes out motivated and stops being a fuckhead.

Some explosive weapons on the perimeter, and a stronger secondary could push them into the playoff race. The move for Britt may also take them out of the equation for picking Sammy Watkins and make them more likely to trade down and stockpile picks. At least two of the three supposed top QBs in this years draft, and possibly Clowney will be there at #2. It's likely they'll find someone who is willing to make a move. They are so clearly the worst team in the division, Kenny Britt (really, Kenny Britt??) does not move the needle. I get they have picks, but to think that the Rams have a shot at the division is bonkers. None of these QB prospects project to be anything but projects in their respective rookie years - certainly not better than Sam Bradford, who, let's face it, is basically an average starting quarterback with no more upside to mine. Their future looks good but this move is nothing more than a low cost flier on a fast former first-rouder.

I'd give someone 4 to 1 odds against the Rams winning the division if someone wanted to put money where their mouth is.

The most I could see is them doing this year is getting more luck in their close games and getting one of the WC spots. They were 0-4 in games decided by 7 or less. Two with Kellen Fuckin Clemmens at the helm. I agree, I do not think Bradford is great by any means. but he's certainly at least a midrange starter, and he has a young team with young skill position guys who will get better the more they play.

The way I see it, the offense will be fine, and potentially better. Sproles + Maclin > Jackson. Plus they'll likely get a solid receiver in the draft. In the end the offense still works well, we free up some cap space for other needs AND we drop a huge headache from the team. I think the fact that the Eagles would release him, when they could certainly get a pick in trade, AND the fact that not a single teammate has stood up to defend Djax, even anonymously, speaks volumes. I don't even care if he goes in division, which seems like he will with the Redskins. So he'll show up 2 games a year because he's angry at us. Big deal. He'll continue to let you down against other teams and take plays off, if not whole games.

He's precisely the kind of vertical threat that we need. Also, with Chris Culliver apparently having gone and done something stupid, the Niners may now have to use their best draft pick(s) on a cornerback instead of a receiver. Hopefully the Niners line up some trade partners to move up the board with all of their picks. Luckily for them, this years draft class is probably the most talented I've seen since I've started following the NFL Draft (maybe 2006-2007). So much depth at both WR and CB.

They should still take Watkins at #2. This Britt deal is only a prove to us you aren't complete shit. To pass on Watkins because of Britt is laughable. The second pick only has great value if the Texans don't draft Clowney. The QB stocks continue to spiral down. Lets not forget they don't need to stockpile too much they have the best available OL at #13.
