But, it suggested he was displeased so much that it wouldn't be inconceivable if he left. If he did I'd totally root for whichever team he went to, except the Giants and the Colts. Obviously neither of those would happen though. It's early in the season no doubt, but yeah shit is bad. This doesn't have that "overcome adversity" feel that the earlier teams had. A combination of late first round, early second round draft picks (due to seeding) + penny pinching by BB and Kraft have left the team in this position. They're my team and I'll root for them, but I think considering how much time Brady will be playing and how much time it is going to take to fix it, I don't know. Maybe tonight will prove otherwise, I doubt it though. ESPN is always running these awful stories because their tired to being beaten to a "scoop" by Yahoo, FS, and Deadspin. They just have to report some kind of conflict, however mild, and then heavily imply that it will to catastrophic consequences!!! And when they're wrong, they flip the script, making it about overcoming adversity! ESPN tries to set narratives and control perception from start to finish. They do it every year (remember that supposed gang activity by a certain former Philly player?). And did you know that Richard Sherman is an angry punk, but also misunderstood? And that Marshawn Lynch is the single greatest threat to sports journalism? How about ESPNs current full blitz against Jim Harbaugh? The start 1-2 and everyone lines up to bury them and slander Jim, but what now? They're 3-2 stuffing the living hell out of high-scoring offenses. For God's sake, the Pats are 2-2, not 0-9. Pats owner was always a cheap bastard ("The Patriot Way") and Billy Belly is obviously a good coach but overestimates his own lemonade-making abilities. Tom Brady thought he was signing on for the Pats to surround him with some better talent to get another ring, but that's obviously not working out so far. From what I gather, the Pats are using this "leak" likely from """sources""" in order to keep Tom Brady in his place, so to speak, for questioning the ultimate authority that is a rich white guy and an arrogant coach. They're putting the burden of winning on him both on the field and in the papers. So really the only thing that's different is that their painting Tom Brady as a problem now, rather than face what seem to be very valid criticisms from their best player ever.

I agree, there is a sky is falling feeling that the media is playing on. It's uncomfortable right now as a fan, but admittedly I'm still a fan even if the Patriots become the bottom feeders of the division. I just don't like to see Brady disparaged so readily by people from NE, and elsewhere.

Jets??? Somebody has to win it right?

but in a season where his abilities have been questioned maybe more than ever before, good for him to pass such an extraordinary milestone on national tv.
