i dont get the hype around lebrons 4th quarter. He was dominant yet hes had turnovers and missed shots too towards the very end. He didnt play a "miracle" game by any stretch of imagination, its getting blown out of proportion. Spurs just couldnt finish it off. I hope they are not gassed for g7

In my opinion the hype was pretty well deserved. You don't even have to look at the numbers he put up in the 4th/OT, just actually watch the game how dominant he was outside of maybe 2 botched possessions. I don't have the exact numbers in fromt of me but I think he was -14 in the first 3 quarters and then +14 from the 4th on, which is pretty damn great in itself. NOt to mention he singlehandedly carried the team that entire 4th quarter, Dwade seemed(to me) to be a hinderance more than a help, when they went small ball with 3pt shooters they did so much better than when Dwade was out there and the offense was stagnating.

he had a good game. His stat line is nice, unfortunately no miracles happened (other than allen's 3 to tie)

Nobody(not even the media) are saying that Lebron had a "miracle" performance.... They are saying(rightfully so) that he had a completely dominating 4th/OT, and brought his team back from a huge deficit. Like i said you don't even need to look at his stat line, I just rewatched the entire game again the entire 4th quarter was orchestrated fantastically by Lebron(a few bad possessions in the final minutes exempted).

Parker? 6-23 Parker? When in the same game Duncan went 30-17?
Come on.
He also didn't play in like ANY of the key moments of the game(parker missed alot too), although im sure that wasn't his decision.
Pop decided that when Miami went small at the end of the 4th/OT he'd rather have smaller, quicker defenders out there than Duncan. Kinda made sense although it bit them in the ass when they couldn't grab a defensive board.
But honestly Duncan has been unstoppable by the Heat all series. Anderson got taken out of games 4 and 5 because he couldn't guard Duncan and is useless otherwise, the Spur's go-to play has become a post-up of Duncan on Bosh, and Haslem can't do much more either. Duncan is practically averaging a 20-15 this finals, I don't see how you pick any player on the Spurs other than him, assuming they win. And even if they don't I might be inclined to give it to him anyway with the way the Heat have been playing.
Duncan is the reason green got so many open 3s all these games because he always draws the double. Before this game everyone was on about how they are going to pay more attention to green and all that.Well, the result was duncan destroying them in the first half.

like i said - read the headlines. If "unbelievable", "best game", "amazing" don't cut it for you - im not sure what does. Starting end of 4th (2 turnovers and a missed shot) and OT Lebron scored like 2 buckets total (off top of my head) All the numbers ure talking about came strictly within that 4th during spurs meltdown. We've seen that before in this series if u've been watching

It wasn't a perfect masterpiece and he made some bad plays, but the 4th quarter is more than just 2 minutes. I mean, they were down TEN points going into the fourth. I don't think I have to explain how fucking hard that is to come back from in a critical game with so much pressure. And let's face it, outside of Ray's miracle 3 he did everything in the 4th.
I'd also like to point out that he scored 16 points in the 4th and this comeback was done while wade and bosh were on the bench.
The real issue I have with lebrons game is his "sulking" when he doesn't get a call. There were 2 instances this game where he just fumbles the ball because of contact and than he stays lying on the ground instead of running back on d like a normal person and not a diva. The result, just easy layups for the spurs playing 5v4.
He made some mistakes but the pressure on him was immense. He was defending Parker and running everything on offence. The guy sat 3 minutes the entire game. He really stepped up and was ably helped by his role guys in Chalmers, Ray and Miller.
He did make a couple of bad TOs down the stretch (last min or so) but he was the reason they were so close in the first place.

Not saying he didn't show up. Just irritated with "game for the ages" type of garbage.
At least now we won't get Ace with "as soon as wade sits down miami goes down by 30 points". ill take this any day
Overall I'd say lebron's performance wasn't that great for the entirety of the game, but his 4th quarter was legendary. I'm not sure how many other 4th quarter performances come to mind in these types of situations, but that was definitely a memorable one.
That game overall was one of the best games I've ever seen in the past decade.

Its okay, in a year with these Rose glasses (c) off you'll just recognize this as another good game. I can start listing better games starting 2003 and I promise there will be more than 10. I think u'd even agree upon rewatching some of them. No, not yet. In a month or so.
