Its okay, in a year with these Rose glasses (c) off you'll just recognize this as another good game. I can start listing better games starting 2003 and I promise there will be more than 10. I think u'd even agree upon rewatching some of them. No, not yet. In a month or so.

Only playoff game(since 2003) I can think off right off the bat that had me engaged like this was the bulls celtics ot one(i think).
Maybe I'm a bit biased because the team im rooting for is playing but I'd sure classify this one as a amazing and gripping game idk.

i dont get the hype around lebrons 4th quarter. He was dominant yet hes had turnovers and missed shots too towards the very end. He didnt play a "miracle" game by any stretch of imagination, its getting blown out of proportion. Spurs just couldnt finish it off. I hope they are not gassed for g7

It wasn't a perfect masterpiece and he made some bad plays, but the 4th quarter is more than just 2 minutes. I mean, they were down TEN points going into the fourth. I don't think I have to explain how fucking hard that is to come back from in a critical game with so much pressure. And let's face it, outside of Ray's miracle 3 he did everything in the 4th.

I'd also like to point out that he scored 16 points in the 4th and this comeback was done while wade and bosh were on the bench.

Not saying he didn't show up. Just irritated with "game for the ages" type of garbage.

At least now we won't get Ace with "as soon as wade sits down miami goes down by 30 points". ill take this any day

Wade knocking the rebound out of Kawhi's hands TWICE is what led to the Lebron 3. If Leonard got that rebound the game was over. 2KWADE!

It was close but I wouldn't call it amazing. The only team that looked good for any stretch was the Spurs in the first half because Duncan, after that it was a lot of "superstars" fucking up masked by team play and a close score. Wade/Lebron were terrible for most of the game until Lebron's 4th/headband power-chain removal, Bosh was slightly better because he doesn't shoot all the time+rebounding, Parker/Ginobili were terrible, the Spurs' shooters never got open, the Spurs let a huge lead slide partially because of Lebron, yeah, but also because they couldn't grab a fucking rebound and Ginobili had like 4 turnovers in the 4th.

Wouldn't call it a great game to watch. Dramatic, yeah, but from a basketball standpoint far from great.

Not a great game? Your expectations might be a little too high =P. These guys are humans not robots. Human elements in play are part of what make this game so good.

I came to say what a game though!

Devastating being so close and coming up short. Spurs had some really poor possessions down the stretch. Offensive boards have been killing us all series Been waiting all series for us to feed Duncan in the post, Bosh/Birdman can't stop him. No clue why we haven't been doing it all along.

Pretty pissed about Allen raking Ginobili on that last play. I get that they don't like to make calls late in games but Ginobili didn't even get a chance to put that ball up because of the foul.

Yeah that was terrible. I couldn't believe it when people were leaving early. You'd have thought they were down by 20.

It's funny because I noticed this game that Birdman literally only comes in when Duncan comes out.

So your criteria completely throws out contextual things like, Finals game 6, Big 3 looking to get rings plural vs Big 3 looking to add to their rings already plural, ridiculous comeback led by the game's best player, a frantic finish involving a 5 point comeback in <30 seconds(which will always involve the other team fucking up), game tying 3, some controversy(always makes for legendary/memorable games), etc.

THE LARRY OBRIEN TROPHY WAS ON THE FLOOR WITH TAPE AROUND THE ARENA, and Ray Allen aka Jesus Shuttlesworth told them to put that tape down we're playing overtime after a ridiculous ~9 minute stretch by Lebron.

It wasn't a great game as far as showcasing basketball fluidity and the greatest offensive flow in history, but for entertainment value this shit will go down as a legendary game forever. That Allen shot will be in those classic finals highlights they show before/during every NBA final in the future.

I was responding more to the "best team in the past decade", what originally brought up the conversation. My wording was poor because a round of MP in the Last of Us was starting and I needed to post quickly.

Yeah that shit makes for good drama, but I don't think it goes down as a great game of the past decade because of its sloppiness. I will agree that the last minutes of Q4 and overtime were tense and dramatic.

Spurs really went all out, their core looked so tired at the end of the game. Apparently Parker was cramping towards the end. I think they really wanted to finish in game 6 because they're running out of gas.

Bosh and Lebron were SO good on defense last night.

Parker wouldn't even drive against Lebron, and even when he got the switch on to Bosh, Bosh stuck with him the entire way.

Yeah, the Spurs really choked last night. That's not the reffing.

Ginobli got fouled but he was fouled on like his 5th step. Green definitely got fouled. The block was clean but Bosh went directly into his body, should've been an easy call, imo.

The thing is, none of that probably should've happened. The Spurs made an illegal substitution by bringing in Duncan on the last play of the regulation after Allen's 3, and the refs didn't catch it. If they had caught it (and they really should have,) the Spurs would've gotten a technical foul and Ray Allen would've been shooting a free throw to end the game.

So complaining about refs doesn't really do you many favors as a Spurs fans. Overall, I think they've been favored with calls the last two games.

Couple things I don't understand from the final play:

1. I know Duncan is their inbounder and they wanted Splitter to set a good screen, but isn't that too big of a sacrifice when the other team KNOWS you need a 3? The Heat had the opportunity to play 5 on 3 there.

2. Why didn't the Heat play 5 on 3 there? What is Chalmers actually going to contribute by guarding Duncan? He's not blocking his vision and in the off off off chance Duncan gets the ball back to take a 3, he's not going to be helpful for contesting it.

Also, even though Bosh fouled Green, Splitter sets the most illegal of illegal screens on Allen lol. By the time Allen got free, Splitter was like 3 steps away from where he'd initially set the screen.

I just think that in moments like this the refs have a mentally of let them play unless its a very very obvious foul. They also dont wanna hear a shitstorm because they made a wrong called that changed the game especially with so little time left.
