The way the pack was so close the start of last season as well, when tyre changes and 4 pit stops aren't the main way for over/undertaking it makes for excellent races. I loved the start of last season with all those winners and drama we had. This season it has different winners but i just seem a it tired of watching 3-4 pit stops every race. Especially when you see the Mercedes doing so well with low fuel load qualy laps and being competitive, then come race day be the shittest car in the top 5 xD Oh well, next year should be good though, tyre issue will probably be fixed and big changes meaning it will be opened right up with Merc/Lotus possibly Force India really giving Mclaren RedBull and Ferrari a run for their money!

Horner after Vettel's 2011 BCN win with 4 stops: "It was an incredible race, a great show for the fans and we did an incredible work as a team and we deserved to win. I think the fans enjoyed that very much" Horner after Alonso's win in BCN 2013 with 4 stops: "4 pit stop are too much. The tyres are destroying the race. Ask everyone. We are not going to the speed of the car but to the speed of the tires We have the best car"

To me, that says he has a firm offer from Red Bull for 2014, as Ferrari wouldn't have him back. McLaren refused when he asked for more money than Button so that also is unlikely. Mercedes look like they have two guys they do not want to replace so the "options" must only be Lotus and Red Bull. Would he go? Well Allison leaving must weaken Lotus but I think for Kimi it would be better to stay. I don't think he is the same driver that was at McLaren, he doesn't have the same hunger anymore. If he were to join RB I do not doubt he would do a better job than Webber has managed but still expect Vettel to outshine him. Right now he is driving for a top team, with a very weak team-mate (for a top team) so he has nothing to lose at all. Money isn't an issue for him now, especially after the EU... sorry I mean Santander decided to pay him off for Ferrari, so what would you decide?

It's not too often you see drivers having to push quite so hard to get onto pole.
