They do not know which tire is which so Mercedes benefit from this test is quite limited. According to Mercedes they even asked FIA for permission before doing the test and FIA confirmed that it was OK. The reason Pirelli wanted to use a 2013 car is because they are very different from the 2010 ones and they felt that their previous tests had not told the truth. | ||
