Pity for Grosjean but nice race overall and good results WDCtitlefightwise. Merc should focus on 2014 already...

You should find it by going a few pages back. Glad to see Gutierrez being competitive. Hope he gets his first points soon.

Great drives by Alonso, Raikkonen (after the first lap) and Massa.

Really disliking how tires and strategy are the only thing that seems to matter now, the cars seem super easy to drive consistently, compared to like 8-10 years back.... So now I feel like I'm watching a passive game of starcraft, seeing how everyones' strategies will unfold. I wanna see racing, not this shit. But Kimi for champion!

I do agree about the tires, this year feels just horrible compared to last year. I don't know how tires were the years before 2012, but this year is sucking with the tires. Might as well Pirelli make the tires from play dough. ![]()

Another boring Shumi era? thanks but no. I like it more than it was few years ago - 2,3 overtaking moves per race, and hoping to get past someone in pits. I dont rememer when (apart from 2012 ofc) we had so many teams so close on a lap time. Also Alonsos drive today shows that skill still matters.

2012 was an excellent season from the tire standpoint, hoping they can go back to that. We do not want another Schumacher era, that shit was boring as fuck. People think that awesome tires will lead to exciting overtaking and such? Not true, back when the tires lasted for two GP's there were hardly any overtaking at all. BUT! It's Monaco next weekend and that track is not hard on the tires so I'm massively excited for that race!

Based on my co workers opinion, the car is so hard on tires it gets them perfect for Q3 to set really good times but when it comes to the race and you need to go for 50+ laps then its too hard on the tires to be any good. But yeah, this tire stuff is a bit boring.

Coming from someone who works in a tyre wholesale company the best tyres are normally Bridgestone/Hankook/Michelin. My personal preference is Hankook, but i think there was nothing wrong with Bridgestones they had! Also think F1 people at the top need to figure out what is better and what people actually like to see in a race. As they think "more pit stops and more strategy is better for the fans" when imo the better races are ones where there is only 1 pit stop and everyone is trying to over take eachother and the strategy side of it is actually making sure you qualify as high as possible and the car itself. I know this way you can also see the same people win time after time but id much rather see Alonso vs Vettell vs Kimi every week and maybe add in Rosberg Hamilton Webber Masa Button as well, much more fun (for me)

I think Pirelli did to the tires what they was asked for by FIA - there is no reason to blame them much. FIA wanted one more tyre change per race than it was in 2012, they got it. It differs off course depending on track, and lets not forget Barcelona is kind of unique in tire wear regard. I think i'ts not fair to change regulations in-season just because some teams, that failed to build a car around them ,moan and dont win anymore. Lotus and Ferrari who done their homework well, would be at disadvantadge. We can be sure that on other tracks that are kinder to tyres Red Bull (whos winning WDC right now btw) will be back there, and Force India/McLaren will be closer too. As for Mercedes they had shitty race performance last year too. It seems like they never understood Pirellis as well as the other guys with the budget.
